Bye, Bye, Barney?

September 19, 2010 by B. Daniel Blatt

Seems, I’m not the only one who thinks the unhappy Barney Frank might lose his seat this fall.  Glenn Reynolds wonders if the the 15-term Congressman is getting worried, given that despite his sizable war chest, he’s “called in Bill Clinton for a Bubba Bailout in an apparent sign that one of the Bay State’s safest congressional seats may not be immune from voters’ throw-the-bums-out rage.”

You can help ease the departure of this big-spending Democrat by supporting his challenger Sean Bielat.

Is there any polling on this race? I didn’t find it after about four minutes with Google. Isn’t Frank’s seat “safe”? Though I suppose this would be the year, if there is any year. We can dream.

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but watching Mumbles go down in flames would make my year.

If Barney Frank is calling in Bill Clinton, he’s terrified; usually, he is just a somnambulist with his elections. This year is different. Republican Scott Brown won the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat, although the seat belongs to the people of Massachusetts–not Kennedy’s family & cronies. Governor Deval Patrick cannot gain momentum & he’s in trouble.

Why isn’t Barney Frank not calling in the Narcissist-in-Chief, President Obama? Bill Clinton will not help Barney Frank, but he’s less toxic than Obama.

    #1 I know. I can’t find FL-20 either.

What’s the current success rate of the Bubba Bailouts? Last I saw, the candidates he stumped for all lost. I think he was 0-10 at one point.

I propose the Frank-Dodd supermax penitentiary for scam artists who have bilked over a billion dollars out of the public. The Congressional wing could have Jacuzzi privileges for inmates who rat out fellow schemers.

I dig that Barney Frank is a mixture of Fred Flintstone, Snagglepuss, and Touché Turtle. But that’s all I dig about him.
