With arrogance inversely proportional to his accomplishments

September 20, 2010 by B. Daniel Blatt

With those words Philip Klein describe the man whose tenure in the White House helped redeem Millard Fillmore.

He was referring to this comment a failed president made:

In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams, former President Jimmy Carter, who has been a target of the right through the years, lauded his own post-presidency, telling Williams, “I feel that my role as a former president is probably superior to that of other presidents.”

It is MSNBC, so they would define the Gipper’s predecessor was a “target of the right.”  Why do they have to make him appear a “victim of right.”  [Um, Dan, MSNBC is just playing to their base.  Describing someone as a target of the right makes him more endearing to their viewers.  –Ed.]  They should have said, “who only won six states in his 1980 bid for reelection.”

Can you imagine the amount of damage that a Carter-Gore ticket would have caused the United States?

Just for good measure, we could make John Kerry the Secretary of State, and Kanye West the director of FEMA.

I think the most gut twisting was when Dhimmy Carter tried to take credit for the release of the hostages on 60 minutes.

No Dhimmy, you caused the capture of the hostages and wasted American lives with the half assed ‘rescue’ attempt.

He was more a victim of a killer bunny rabbit. Was that the interview where he trashed Sen. Chivas Regal Kennedy?

I believe President Jimmy Carter has be trying to make up for the dramatic collapse of the 1980 election in which he & the Democrats were routed out of power by Governor Ronald Reagan. He’s been a bitter old man ever since who should have gone away.

The 60 Minutes segment is an attempt to rewrite history from 30 years ago. For 20 years, Carter was a pariah even in the Democrat Party. Leftists are fond of rewriting history to suit their current needs. This is no different. Ignore Jimmy Carter & 60 Minutes. The show has long been corrupted by Leftist bias.

Carter hopes Obama’s presidency will be as successful as his own; it’s certainly off to a great start.

I hope that Obama will have as successful a term as I had in dealing with our nation’s domestic and international affairs. And if he does, I’ll be very proud of him, as I happen to be proud of myself, having had a successful administration when I was in office,“

Jimmy is an unsufferable egotist, always was and always will be. A moralistic prig…”I only lusted in my heart”. He is an embarrassment to the US. He’s trying to rehabilitate himself because the DNC won’t. Trashing St. Ted isn’t a good way to start. Should I say what I really think of him? 🙂

What could possibly follow after Carter’s latest reinvention of history?

I know; Mikey Dukakis won in 88! It worked to rehab Gore’s image. That, or Wally Mondale was the Best Veep in American history. Or Obama deserves a 2d term.

    Losers.

The Jimmy Carter administration was the reason for the invention of the MISERY INDEX. It creeps up usually during liberal Democrat presidencys.
If you went to public school you probably don’t know what it means. So google it. During the Carter years it equalled 40%. A staggering number.

Poor Jimmy. Since his defeat to Reagan, he has been a bitter old non-entity. He was the only president in our history who told our great nation that “the best years of our country are behind us.” For years after his defeat, he’s tried to create some type of self-created legacy for himself. He certified Chavez’ election in Venezuela. He has always been the unfortunate guy who would walk across the street to step into a pile of kaka.
