As our long-time readers know, Dan and I are “Reagan Babies” — we grew up with Reagan as THE President of the United States. I was physically born under LBJ, but I was ‘born-again as a conservative American’ under Ronald Reagan.
Sunday, February 6, 2011 is The Gipper’s 100th Birthday and there are major celebrations going on all over the nation and around the world. The focus of the anniversary party is one of my favorite spots in the United States — The Reagan Library.
Tonight, the party starts with a keynote address by Gov. Sarah Palin at the Reagan Library. The speech will be shown on C-SPAN at 11PM Eastern Time. And we will “simulcast” it right here.
Come back tonight at 11PM Eastern and watch the speech. Follow me on www.twitter.com/gaypatriot throughout this weekend … and next week at CPAC where there will also be Reagan100 festivities!!

Reagan – the man who ignored the suffering of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of gay men during the height of the AIDS epidemic.
And you Benedict Arnolds are going to celebrate his life, and with that shrieking harpie Sarah Palin!
SICK SICK SICK!!!!!
Steve, your ignorance of history and blind hatred of people who are better than you is:
SICK SICK SICK!!!!!
Bruce – we are about the same age, then. I was born in 1960, and the first presidential election I paid attention to was in 1976. I remember being appalled by Carter’s weakness, and outraged by the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Then Reagan came along, and while things didn’t change overnight it was obvious we had been set on the right course. These were my formative years, and Reagan was THE American President for me as well.
this is the Reagan Library? I thought this even would be in the Airforce One hanger. This venue looks tiny
Sorry gang… it’s the Reagan Ranch Center, not the Library!!
ahhhh
And yet they still take NO responsibility for their actions.
Good speech, some really good lines.
He ran his presidency by consulting astrologers. Is that in line with Christian values?
His administration had over 20 people go straight from the White House to the federal pen.
The Reagan worshiping makes me barf.
What makes him such a hero?
I am just a little bit older than you, but not by much. My first political awakening was the assassination of John F. Kennedy. I heard the announcement that he had been shot on the radio.
From that time on, I became aware of LBJ and the Vietnam War, then Richard Nixon who ended the Vietnam war, then there were the horror years of the Carter administration.
Of course I had the opportunity to live in the USA, in Fairborn Ohio during the Reagan years, and I was there for the 1984 Presidential election.
At the same time I was becoming very aware in Australian politics – Robert Menzies, then Harold Holt who was drowned, followed by John Gorton and Billy McMahon. Then we had the horror years of the Whitlam government.
“He ran his presidency by consulting astrologers.”
Proof please. And Kitty Kelley doesn’t count.
You’re a pathetic human being Steve. All that hatred is going to burn you up one day.
Steve would rather have an administration that consorts with terrorists, socialists and racisits.
Bullshit spewing liberal pussies make me barf (and I’ve seen a corpse after 3 months in the sun).
Gov. Sarah Palin? how about ex-Gov Sarah Palin? Or about “quit before her first term was even over” Gov. Sarah Palin? LOL
