Once again, Stacey McCain asks the relevant question:
If it weren’t for the fact that it plays 24/7 in airport waiting areas, would anyone ever watch CNN?
Well, I sure wouldn’t watch the network if they didn’t play it on the TV monitors at my gym.
(I recommend McCain’s piece, a reflection on the consistency and angry preening of Jimmy Carter’s favorite living filmmaker.)

Better question. Who actually participates in CNN polls except for social liberals?
CNN has gone down the Rabbit Hole a long time ago; they are entrenched in their own liberal bias they can no longer be an objective news channel as they still claim to be. CNN has become a parody of itself. Who needs Saturday Night Live?
Very much so, it’s the same as USA TODAY, if it weren’t HOTEL’s fave newspaper would anyone read it? BTW: this week at my gym I saw a few screens turned to FOX NEWS. I believe we go to the same gym.
Zeke, we may well go to the same gym. I saw the same thing this week–screens turned to FoxNews. Wondered who requested the news network.
CNN and Michael Moore – the perfect match. One you don’t watch and the other you don’t listen to (and vice versa).
Meanwhile: I’m finding it tough to find a copy of the WSJ. Every time I go out to pick up the dead tree version, it’s always sold out.
We used to get the NYT every day for the National and political news even though we’re not in the NYC metropolitan area, but. And at $3 daily and $6 for the Sunday issue it wasn’t worth it anymore. Now we get the WSJ instead…and it’s much more informative. Especially the Friday and Saturday issues.
The USA Today is ‘ok’ for sports and the entertainment/media sections…but the front news section is rather-lacking.
I watch CNN when I want see what SNL could be…
I used to watch CNN until it became just another talking head network. I can’t stand to watch any of the “news” channels anymore.
That being said, I do like Headline News for just that – the headlines. I find it’s a good source to just see what’s going on when I may be a bit out of touch with news.
