“Accountability journalism” is just so 2008
“You know,” Sonicfrog muses
… If President George W Bush told Congress he didn’t need their approval to wage war, the press would not take that lying down, something that is obviously extra-constitutional, there would be an uproar
like you’ve never seenlike you often saw back when he was President.
Read the whole thing.
Seems like the AP’s commitment is just another relic of the Bush era.

If this were during the Bush years, the House would be moving an impeachment bill.
Re: Barry’s speech on Israel aren’t as awful as reported:
The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.
That’s not the same thing as saying that Israel should return to the 1967 borders (which would be nuts).

He also used a very specific word in relation to Palestine that we have never supported: “Contiguous”.
For Palestinian borders to be contiguous, Israel would have to be divided; and a divided Israel has never been a part of our policy.

Despite our compliant MSM tries to spin Obama’s @$%* as roses, Obama’s speech about the destruction of Israel has come back to haunt him a thousand fold! Some things one cannot spin. This is one of them. Obama takes the side of terrorists over our long time ally, Israel.

SCR,
The other part though is that the US hoped the 1949 borders would be an end point not a starting issue. Also there’s that President Obama voided the agreement with America that we’d not put returning to the 1967 borders as a condition of peace.
In fact, as Charles Krauthammer said:
