Leah, yes, just ask Senator Maverick McCain who wanted to be the designated leader of the Republican Party after his post-2008 election loss; despite Maverick’s attempt to be in the spotlight, he’s ignored thanks to the strength of the Tea Party & the new Tea Party members in Congress. Maverick still wants to be heard, but most people are tuning him out.
