Are the New York Times and Washington Post . .

June 12, 2011 by B. Daniel Blatt

. . . putting more effort into combing through Sarah Palin’s e-mails than they did combing through the details of the “stimulus” and Obamacare legislation — and those were actual bills considered and passed by Congress and signed into law by the president.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Palin is the former governor of one state and is not, at present, a candidate for any public office.

UPDATE:  A nice rejoinder to the flurry of MSM interest in Mrs. Palin’s e-mails:

Other former vice-presidential candidates or potential presidential candidates whose entire email archive from their time in office has been released so the press (or just people who read the WaPo online) can comb through looking for something interesting

. . . .

You know, I can’t think of any. Nope, not a single one.

On shallow reflection, maybe the Republic does deserve to fall to the Islamofascists and the Chinese. I’d shed a tear, just it’s just not worth it….

The MSM are a joke from Katie Couric, who CBS refused to renew her expensive contract after 5 years at #3, making fun of Kate Gosslen to the Washington Post & New York Times looking through Palin’s e-mails; whereas, they refuse to look for Obama’s college records. The contrast couldn’t be more stark.

The MSM will continue to lose its power & relevance.

Is this the same MSM that is closing world wide news bureaus and eliminating almost entirely journalistic “reporting” because of costs?
Yet they send at least one rep each to fly up to Alaska to get boxes of copies of these e mails. Silly and instructive at the same time.

The day the MSM died. Yes, of course they are putting more time, energy, manpower, etc into looking for a “gotcha” in Palin’s emails than they expended on Obamacare, his stimulus, vetting him as a candidate, and questioning his policies combined.

The MSM is a disgrace. They are not journalists, they are hacks, activists and propagandists and should be treated as such.

Big Government on what we have learned from the Palin emails:

“We know that Palin didn’t squander a trillion dollars to create zero jobs; didn’t spend twenty years in a racist church led by a divisive demagogue eager to see God damn America; never referred to Americans as bitter clingers; did not launch her career in the living room of a domestic terrorist; has never apologized for America; did not stand idly by as the price of a gallon of gasoline nearly tripled on her watch; never sold out Israel, bankrupted her country, bowled like a Community Organizer, or voted present.”

No similar anal exams for Chairman Obama. That would be raaaaaacist! The fraudulent Old Liberal Media tells you how irrelevant she is whilst digging through her e-mails and falling all over themselves to follow her. And if it endangers other people along the way, so be it.

Hell, if Ashton Kutcher finds what you’re doing “repulsive”, it’s probably a good idea to just stop.

    Ted – you’re not alone:

There are moments, gentle listener, there are moments, I’ll confess, and with no ill will to any fellow citizen, there are moments when I look forward with eager joy to the almighty crash that is coming upon us, just for all the folly and waste it will sweep away.

According to a commenter on I Own The World, after searching through Palin’s emails, it was found that she was engaged in an international money laundering scheme with some Nigerian princes.

She was also looking at getting her penis enlarged.
