That’s what this headline today on AOL’s homepage suggests:
Seems Mr. Gore’s none too happy with the state of public opinion:
Four years ago, when he won the Nobel, 71 percent said they believed that carbon emissions were causing global warming. Four years later, after a crushing recession, Climategate, and an epic failure at Copenhagen, only 44 percent say they believe it. Meanwhile, 69 percent say it’s likely that global-warming scientists have falsified climate research.
Glad to know that the truth reaches people, eventually.
Poor fellow. I suggest that he downsize his house to 1400 square feet and sell his private jet.
Al Gore is bonkers.
By bonkers, I mean Gore is barking mad; he’s insane. I think he never recovered after the 2000 election; he really cracked-up. This could be why Tipper divorced him.
The way his carbon trading scam is collapsing, have he may to.
Wonder how much you can pawn a Nobel Peace Prize for.
Wow, it’s easy to forget that, prior to his efforts to change his image for the 2000 elections, Gore was known as a person with a rather dull, unemotional and almost robotic personality.
As an example, I recall him being portrayed that way on an episode of The Simpsons, back when they were funny. When a military officer informs Gore that someone finally bought a single copy of his book, he flips a switch on the stereo on his desk, which plays the song Celebration by Kool and the Gang. After the words “Celebrate good times! Come on!” are sung, Gore, while sitting perfectly still, calmly responds “I will.” Then he just continues sitting there without moving.
I just realized a lot of young people probably see repeats of that episode and scratch their heads as the joke flies on over, or they mistakenly assume the writers were being ironic.
Al Gore turns people off because he is not comfortable in his own skin; something about Gore himself rejects. What is it? This is why people reject Al Gore. He has almost as many public persona’s as Christine Sizemore. For instance, when Al Gore ran for the legislature, he was a Conservative Democrat. But, after he got on the Global Warming bandwagon, he slowly lurched Left. Remember, he’s from Tennessee, yet he acts as if he’s from one of the bluest states in the nation. He’s out-of-touch much like our current President, Obama.
I love this so much. Gore’s tantrum is indicative of the Left’s anger over the fact that, in this age of new media, they no longer control the message. I see it all over the Left these days and it always sends a tingle up my leg.
Oh, and Thulsa, The Simpsons has actually become a lot funnier in the past five years or so. True, they may never recreate their heyday when it seemed every episode was a classic, but they still manage to crank out several good episodes every season.
