Only in the nation’s capital does president enjoy an approval rating above 60%. In Maryland, the state with a high percentage of residents who work in Washington, D.C., 59% approve of the president’s job.
Seems that while Americans who pay to keep the government running are becoming increasingly disenchanted with President Obama while the governing class is quite satisfied with his performance in office.
Don’t think this was the kind of change Americans voted for in 2008.
People in the DC area like the Obama regime, because they feel richer and more powerful under it. The DC real estate market has been the one market to thrive, these last few years. We’ll know that Big Government has been stopped (so the rest of American can thrive again) when it crashes.
Actually, we live SW of Houston and real estate here is good but we are an international business community and we would definitely do better with a different administration who would drill baby drill! Instead of regulate baby regulation and tax baby tax!
Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder – oil/resources have been good for people too.
Also, doesn’t Maryland have one the highest African-American population centers (Baltimore/DC)?
Just sayin’ is all.

Maryland is a great big plantation.
