Only if her name is Michele Bachman or Sarah Palin. CNN’s Political Unit is beside itself because Mrs. Bachmann flubbed Elvis’s birthday:
Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann stepped all over Elvis Presley’s blue suede shoes while stumping Tuesday, when she mistakenly wished “The King” a “Happy Birthday.”
August 16 actually marks the 34th anniversary of Presley’s death.
A quick google search could reveal no evidence that CNN had not given similar coverage to then-candidate Obama’s contention that there were 58 states (he claimed he had been in 57 states with “one left to go. . . .“)
And I’m sure our readers can come up with other Obama gaffes that haven’t received the attention of Mrs. Bachmann’s various errors.
Seriously, is this what they have to report about? omg. Sarah Palin redux. I don’t think I can take it.
I’m still laughing at Paul Krugman’s comment from Sunday about space invaders. Krugman is proof that being educated is not a reliable measure of inteligence.
Stand up, Chuck! Let ’em see you!
– Joe Biden to Missouri state senator Chuck Graham who is in a wheelchair.
At least we know what’s important to the media: Elvis Presley’s birthday. (Elvis isn’t dead, he just went home.)
They will try to report & amplify every Republican candidates’ gaffes to fit into their “stupid mantra” template. Every Republican seems to be a doofus while the Democrats are brilliant. Facts does not matter to them.
I remember during the 2000 campaign stories of Al Gore thanking Hispanic supporters in New Mexico by repeatingly saying, “Macho Gracias.” (Manliness, thanks.)
Yup…you can leave out the gaffes…she’s full up with idiotic and hateful speech as it is.

Kevin, if you have something to say about reporting on each candidate’s gaffes, then by all means, feel free to make it. Otherwise, please keep the filth to yourself. Thanks.
And Kevin is sure she would also be perfectly happy to exterminate him.
Compared to the Lightbringer (58 states, enemies, copse-man, etc etc) and his trusty sidekick, Bachmann’s a bona fide piker.
We’ve tried politically correct incompetence for the last three years. How’s that working out for us?
I just don’t understand the mentality of people who would vote for a complete bumblef–k just because he flatters them with politically correct platitudes over someone who may not hold politically correct personal opinions but who might actually fix some of our problems.
And while Kevin is wallowing in his persecution fantasies, Serious liberal pundits call for the extermination of Republicans.
V, I don’t think Kevin is feeling persecuted, nor do I think those liberal pundits are calling for the extermination of Republicans.
Rather, they both seem to find tremendous gratification in fantasizing about a nation where the liberal worldview is allowed to
fester and metastasizeflourish, absent any opposition or dissent.Kevin, and the far left in general, are exquisite examples of “liberal tolerance,” which, as we have come to learn, is more aptly described as petulance.
And while the MFM devote days of coverage every time Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin misuses a semicolon, they utterly ignore the insanely idiotic policies of the Obamacrats and their horrific results. For example, Guns from ATF’s Gunrunner/Fast and Furious Bumblef–k now linked to at least 11 Violent Crimes. But the MFM, much like the honey badger, don’t care.
Sadly, this is precisely what we can expect for the next 14 months…
We have a president who’s ineptitude is matched only by his fevered egotism and the MSM’s laser-like focus on redefining the concept of “enabling.” Their devotion to the so-called “progressive” agenda precludes intellectual honesty, while happily embracing projection with a fervent belief that the mythical “undecideds” don’t have internet access and lack the capacity for independent thought.
This playbook should have been thrown out the window when the Democrat Party failed to take back Wisconsin, if not last November, but then, stupid is as stupid does, one supposes.
Does the gaffe matter?
“Everybody does utter gaffes,” Winthrop University political scientist and pollster Scott Huffmon said, noting then-candidate Obama’s reference to the 57 — not 50 — United States. “If your opponent makes a gaffe, it’s a clear sign that he or she is an idiot. If your candidate makes a gaffe, it’s simply a sign that he or she is human and gets tongue tied sometimes.
“That said, while Bachmann’s gaffes will do nothing to discourage her faithful, they will give serious pause to those undecided Republicans who are deciding among their party’s potential candidates and would absolutely become fodder for Democratic attacks should she win the nomination.”

From the “This would be a gaffe if a Republican Had Said It” File
Using logic similar to that of Anchorman’s Brick Tamlin, a Democrat lawmaker in Pennsylvania is convinced that natural gas production causes STD’s in women.
It’s science!!!!
How would the liberal media have reacted had a President Bush or a candidate for the Republican nomination said, as Obama did, the the US Constitution had been written 20 CENTURIES ago?
