On Bruce’s Announcement (& disagreement among GayPatriots)

September 28, 2011 by GayPatriot

Our readers have engaged in considerable speculation about the “important announcement” Bruce will be making tomorrow on this blog. ย We settled on Thursday for this announcement as it is Rosh Hashanah and I will be in synagogue praying and unable to blog.

For the record, I have been privy for some time now to the content of this announcement, but have refused to even hint at what it might entail until such time as Bruce makes it official. ย The only thing I will say, as per my communication with Bruce is that this is one of those few issues where he and I do not see eye to eye (hence the advantage of making it when I won’t have the opportunity to reply).

I expect to offer a rebuttal to Bruce’s argument in short order. ย Let this occasion remind y’all that while Bruce, Eric, Nick and I all blog on the same site, we don’t always agree with one another.

Gee, wouldn’t you have loved to have been the Filipino houseboy who listened in on that discussion?

Dan, there’s no reason for all this cryptic suspense. Just spit it out: Team Edward? Or Team Jacob? CHOOSE!

I happened to be check the main page just now. Bruce’s announcement flashed. Then I hit the Refresh key, and it’s gone. Weird.

So by the time anyone reads this, it might be up again and everyone knows it. Or maybe not.

Oh lord, he’s shutting the joint down. I think we can definitely rule out a contest to see who can guess when GP will hit 4.5m views. Shuckins. I wouldn’t mind a Kindle to play with. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Kirk is the better Trek Captain!

Oh please. If he had risen from the Sciences, led a crew stranded in the Delta Quadrant to home, blended Starfleet and Maquis and defeated the Borg Queen, then I might be impressed. Plus, he didn’t have a hot flight controller like Lt. Tom Paris.

Although Archer had the hotter chief engineer.

I’m not sure I like the sound of this…..especially the rebuttal-part.

It’s always the children who get hurt in these things.

I’m with TGC. Season 1 Kirk was OK, but seasons 2 and 3… forget it.

Actually for ‘captains’ I’ll take Sisko, though I’ve heard good things about Mackenzie Calhoun

Yeah Sisko was pretty cool, even though DS9 doesn’t go anywhere.

I am a huge fan of Cain, but since we can’t vote in California until June, I am keeping an open mind for a long time.
