Gallup: Obama’s approval slips to 38

October 7, 2011 by B. Daniel Blatt

Well, if the president’s jobs bill enjoys majority support as the Washington Post/ABC News poll suggests, it isn’t helping his overall approval which, according to Gallup, just slipped to 38:

Seems his poll numbers are heading in the opposite direction of the Gipper’s in the third year of his term. Many pundits have claimed that Obama could win because his numbers this year were similar to Reagan’s in 1983. Only problem was that Reagan’s polls started ticking upwards as his economic plan kicked in. Obama’s plan was supposed to start working just a few months after it was passed (more than two years ago).

Maybe that’s because as Jim Hoft reports, “In Ronald Reagan’s third September in office he created 1.1 million jobs in one month.”  (By contrast, “Employers added 103,000 jobs in [Obama’s third] September [in office]. Half of those were striking Verizon workers returning to work.”)

Well, technically, the Gipper didn’t create the jobs.  He just put policies in place which made it possible for entrepreneurs and businessmen to create and expand their enterprises, thus making it necessary for them to bring on more employees.

What an embarrassment this federal government and POTUS are. I can’t wait until 2012 when America’s long nightmare will be over.

The Republicans, as usual, are botching this. They know the bill was never meant to pass, so they are ignoring it while Bam-Bam and his allies in the media talk it up. No one is mentioning that even if the damn thing worked as advertised, it would cost over a quarter million dollars per job.

Wow, 62% of Americans hate black people.

At least that’s the Plantation Party’s excuse.

Obama’s demagoguery & class warfare hasn’t helped Obama one bit. In fact, I think he’s making himself look more bitter & shrill as he shrinks before our eyes. The real Obama will make his face known when the total facade shatters. He is full of rage & hatred for America & more people are realizing it.

THe poll claiming that they support Obama’s jobs bill has a sample of “Adults” Meaning that. . right then and there, its worthless for anything regarding elections.

He is polling badly approval wise but he seems to hold his own when it comes to the actual head to heads. Obama is starting to slip behind Romney, in some polls, or is within margin of error. He mostly leads the rest of the field between single or double digits.

I think his liberal and mod left base is unhappy with him, but I doubt they will vote for any of the Republicans beyond Hunstman. So he seems to have a floor around 40 to 42 probably in an election.

Or, perhaps, Reagan benefited from a steep drop in energy prices that had nothing to do with his domestic policies.

Oh, me too! I want to give some excuses for The Won.

The Repugnents control the polls though Faux News and Matt Drudge.

We are on the edge of prosperity which will bloom in the summer and sweep away all thoughts of replacing The Won.

Eric Holder will be hailed as the Che of our revolution and The Won will ride behind him on his motorcycle to reelection while clinging to his guts, his Alinsky bible and the sissy bar.

The internal polls show The Won smearing everyone so thoroughly that only The Won gets to vote and carries the nation one to nothing.

The Won declares the empire and does away with stinkin’ elections except for the unanimous vote that selects him and members of the polit buro.

I could see the liberals sitting out, but it depends on who the Republican is. I don’t think they will be motivated to come out against Romney. I do think they will come out against Perry though, since he will be painted like the second coming of W.

It all just depends on who the nominee is, like always, I’m not real confident enough to say this won’t be a close election.

The hypocrisy of the MSM is so tangible you could cut it with a knife. If it were a (R) in the White House, we’d be hearing Wolf Blitzed and Randy Maddow harping on these low poll numbers for weeks.
