Well, now we know Democrats are behind Cain allegations

November 7, 2011 by B. Daniel Blatt

Given her record, we can pretty much guess that this has more to do with politics than sexual harassment:

The AP reports that Democratic activist (though they don’t identify her as such) “Gloria Allred said Monday that another woman is accusing Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain of sexual harassment and will appear at a news conference in New York City later in the day.”

They call this gal a “High-profile discrimination attorney”. High-profile partisan is more like it. Does seem that whenever California Democrats want their dirty work done for them, they call ol’ Gloria.

Now, the lady is going national.

UPDATE: Given the woman who is trotting this accuser forward, we should demand corroboration before taking her seriously.

Ugh. Getting Allread to represent her doesn’t speak well for the veracity of her claims. Maybe Cain did do something inappropriate, maybe not. I haven’t a clue one way or the other since I wasn’t there and this has become a “he said/she said” situation. Yet Allred is a bigtime muckraker and ambulance chaser who doesn’t have much credibility in my eyes..

Glora Allred is a hooker in her own right; therefore, within the Glora Allred context, the woman’s story is still suspect. Allred is a Democrat with her own agenda; this is how she helps the Democrats. But I still think it will backfire among Conservatives & Republicans.

The woman who stepped forward is a registered republican who has appeared at tea party demonstrations. She’s also going public, where she now offers her credibility a closer scrutiny.

As for ol gloria … She has been media whoring it up for a long time. I don’t care for her (love her daughter though), but her clients are sometimes legitimate despite her overdone presence.

    Ps. Justice for mj.

It still comes down to “she said, he said”…where’s the evidence? Any corroborating witnesses? Gloria Allred is all about Gloria Allred. In the liberal world, the accusation is enough to convict. Not in my world.

Exactly, Cinesnatch, she has offered her credibility a closer scrutiny, though her GOP registration notwithstanding, I won’t trust her given that Gloria Allred brought her forward. She needs first provide corroborating evidence. And I wonder if Miss Allred has done her due diligence investigating the specifics of the charges.

And that is why, for now, I am with Mary. Accusation should not be enough to convict.

What an absurd assertion…. claiming that Allred is owned by the Democrats would require a coma for the past 30 years. Allred is the “damsel in distress” opportunist. The opportunism to claim that her involvement is a “Democrat” ploy is just desperate.

Dan, I don’t see how Gloria Allred getting involved means that the Democrats were behind the allegations. Granted, now that the allegations are out, I’m not surprised that Democrats will try to use it to their advantage. However, this is more of Allred being a publicity hound for these type of cases. And again, it’s Republicans who are going to decide Cain’s fate. Since Allred is apparently not a favorite among Republicans, this should help Cain, if anything.

When Gloria Allred represented Amber Frey I had respect for her. Then women she represented after went down hill. Those women were accussing for no stupid reasons or in it for the money. I have no respect for Allred now. This is just another smear on Cain as far as I am concern until proven different.

I have to agree with Alfred’s political affiliation having little to do with her involvement. If there was a D after cains name and not an R land everything else was the same, I still see her being involved.

Why didn’t Allred represent Kathleen Willey, Huanita Broaderick, Gennifer Flowers, & Paula Jones in the 1990’s? It’s because she supported Clinton as why didn’t get involved…

Earlier this year, Allred appeared at a press conference with former porn star Ginger Lee who claimed Anthony Weiner–a DEMOCRAT–tried to get her to lie.

Allred appeared AGAINST a DEMOCRAT. Capice?

    She’s a media whore, period.

Operative word, “a” Democrat. Out of, oh, 100 million or so. In other words, who the hell cares. Capisce?
