In the past few days, my intellectual focus has been less on politics and more on other matters. Now, to be sure, I have scribbled a few ideas for posts, but, in terms of actual blogging, I feel more like I did when researching a chapter for my dissertation. I had a rough idea of what I wanted to say. but thought I needed to do a little more research and let the ideas “steep” a little longer before putting them proverbially to paper.
And so it is with a number of political issues, some related to the presidential contest, others to our nation’s predicament (and so indirectly related to the presidential contest) and others to the constantly improving state of gay America — and the constantly deteriorating condition of our mainstream media.
Here’s an idea: For some reason, I got an e-mail from Democreeps.com which was an advertisement for Credo Mobile. They claim to donate to “progressive” charities. Part of their ad whines:
Nevermind, I suppose that AT&T has given $280,000 to the SCOAMF, according to OpenSecrets.org. And, from what I can tell, Harry Reid has gotten way more money than Bachmann.
Guess liberals will lie to themselves to make a buck.
The best reason to dislike AT&T is their crappy service and network speed.
PS. I do have AT&T, and I know people complain… Including myself. But, for me anyway, the service is good enough. Plus, when I’m hiking camping in Yosemite, I get service in remote areas where the mate and others on different networks don’t. Yes, that includes the top of Half Dome.
Oh, and I won’t be around much. The wind from last week has really done a number on my pools, and I’m concentrating on both learning to build a web page from scratch (w/o using Word Press and the like) and recording the scratch tracks to my solo album. I’m only now realizing that is going to be a long, drawn-out process.
