Seems Obama would rather campaign than govern

January 3, 2012 by B. Daniel Blatt

Gotta love this headline on Yahoo!:

As the Democrat returns to Washington from his vacation, he’s not talking about putting forward ideas to address this nation’s problems in the last full year of his first (and hopefully last) term so much as he’s getting ready to amp his campaign for reelection:

With an eye on the 2012 campaign, President Barack Obama is wrapping up a low-key Hawaiian vacation and planning to quickly get back in front of voters as he ratchets up his bid for re-election. . . .

After more than a week out of the spotlight, Obama plans to make his presence in the campaign quickly known.

The president will host a live web chat with supporters in Iowa Tuesday night as the caucuses are unfolding. The following day, Obama will travel to Cleveland for an event focused on the economy.

Obama aides said the president will seek to draw a contrast with his GOP challengers during Wednesday’s trip to Ohio, a state sure to factor prominently in the presidential campaign.

And get this:

Aides say Obama spent a bit of time on vacation brainstorming ideas for his Jan. 24 State of the Union address, where he will lay out an agenda that will also serve as the basis for his campaign message.

Obama is going use a duty sanctioned by the constitution as the basis for his campaign message?!?!  Talk about changing politics as we know it. Seems more like the permanent campaign to me.

Well, campaigning is one arena where the incumbent has been effective — and successful.

Does this man EVER travel about the country as President of the United States, not as the Democratic-candidate for President?* Attend a dinner that isn’t a campaign fund-raiser for himself, the Party, or a Party-candidate? Ever give a speech or press-conference just as the President of all the Republic?

(*- Though his Campaign-2012 accountants and lawyers are no-doubt extremely-careful to cast his travel-expenses as for “official-POTUS activities” so that the US Taxpayer picks-up the huge costs.)

Obama has little to campaign on and he has to keep what he is campaigning for as deep under wraps as he did 2008. His only campaign is to lie about how much he saved us from even much worse results of the terrible Bush years and how tough it has been to get us on the road to improvement. He has all manner of unchallenged statistics based on a web of lies and no media challenge to his BS in sight. He will constantly intone the cry that we can not go back to the failed policies of the past.

He needs to keep the office to protect Obamacare until its devastating effects take hold after 2013 and 2014 when no amount of new legislation will be able to undo the spiraling mess that will take over the budget.

Obama is not concerned about the Democrat Party except in how it can serve him. He cares not a lick about the country except how he can fundamentally transform it to his liking. To this day, Obama has given zero discussion to how the fundamentally transformed nation would be different. He can’t. He is all smoke and mirrors and venomous attack. That is his style and that is what he is anxious to get back to doing. Whip up the masses and throw out red meat to the choir and move on to the next staged event.

President Obama has damaged himself by ramming through Leftist garbage that is about as toxic as the unhealthy fast food that ends up in both Barack & Michelle Obama’s mouths as they hypocritically tell other people what to eat; Obama has made himself clear he ONLY represents the far Leftist, Marxist Democrats & the Communist unions. Everything else is just public relations & vacuous speeches.

Obama’s problems is he must campaign on his toxic record that he’s running away from. Obama’s record is going to catch up with Obama one way or another.

Let the windbag campaign; it’s all he knows.

Why yes, of course, because a first term president *never* thinks about campaigning for a second term during his 4th year in office. Aaaaaaaaaaand cue eye-rolling………NOW!
