Laura Bush wanted Jeb to run in 2012:

Sarasota H-T: Former first lady Laura Bush wishes there were one more candidate in the Republican presidential primary: Jeb Bush.

Speaking to a sold-out Sarasota audience on Wednesday, Bush said she had hoped that her brother-in-law and former Florida governor would have jumped into the race this year.

    Gosh I liked Laura Bush.
    To contrast…
MHO Michelle Hussien Obama is “furious” that she is being
portrayed as an angry black woman.
    Hmm

I was hoping too. I lived in Flordia when Jeb was Governor. I thought he did a great job.

I disagree. It doesn’t really matter what his positions are; his name would likely have rendered him unelectable. I think Obama’s election proved that there are large numbers of voters that only vote for who their feelings tell them they should vote for, some of whose votes are necessary in order to be elected president.

And, as long as we’re talking about people who we wanted to be running, there are several people that come to mind before Jeb Bush.

While Jeb Bush would have been a better and more conservative President than W, Jeb should never run for the White House. With two Bushes as the Commander-in-chief, most Americans don’t want a third, including me.

As a Floridian, I think Jeb did a decent job as governor and would certainly make a better president than Obama… which isn’t saying much, as almost any carbon-based lifeform would make a better president than Obama.

But enough is enough. No more political dynasties. There are over 300 million people living in this country, and yet we see the same last names running for office over and over again.

The establishment is in love with the idea of a fourth Bush term; the rest of us, not so much.

It´s a shame that Jeb is a Bush. His wife Paloma is a mexican and she could have helped in attracting more mexican’americans into the Party. Cubans are mostly Republicans and central americans are pretty well decided and split depending if they were communists or anti-communist.
