He deserves it. The way he dressed down John King from CNN, as the debate was just starting, King looked like he was going to cry. For a moment I thought he was the incredible shrinking man. I would call that Newt´s, Ronald Reagan moment. It reminded me of the 1980 debate in New Hampshire when Candidate Reagan said, ¨I´m paying for this debate , now turn on that damned mike!¨

I’m relieved Newt Gingrich won South Carolina; we need a leader who will correctly address Obama, the Obama Democrats, & the MSM bias. I believe Newt on gains more momentum in Florida as Romney’s sudden so-called inevitability crumbles in the real world.

What will be very effective, in the general election, is if we call every one of the Dem’s dirty tricks as we see it coming. They are very predictable, and quite transparent. We already know what they’re going to do — hell, we’ve been discussing it for months now.

Gingrich will be ahead of the curve on this. Romney behaves like Bambi in the headlamps. (“My tax returns? What would you want with those?”) When something hits Newt, he is ready to pounce on it and tear it to shreds.

I think that may be what voters in South Carolina are seeing. Romney can’t want to get on to the next primary — but if he doesn’t learn anything from this one, the story might continue to be the same.

I tend to agree, Lori. Every time I see Romney, it’s almost like he’s saying, “Why won’t you just crown me????”

The press has to portray this win by Newt as the result of votes from the racist, redneck, bigoted and disaffected elements in the republican party. They can’t let Newt get away with nailing them to the wall in the last debate.

ND30: “I tend to agree, Lori.” Wow, are you on new medication?

Brendan, let’s all turn over a new leaf. I’m willing to bury any and all hatchets.

If there’s going to be war, let’s all go into it on the same side.

Today, Debbie Whatever-Her-Hyphenated-Name-Is was on FOX, and they were trying to get her to say whether she thought it would be better for Dems if the GOP nominee was Newt or Mitt. She went into her usual campaign spin and wouldn’t even answer the question.

They are on the warpath. Whoever the nominee is, I think we need to be united. I’ve got Fox on again now (my dad would never believe that) and they were saying that 80% of the public polled wants Obama out now. If we don’t think the Democrats are going to pull out all the stops, we’re going to find out fast.

I love the roar of battle. And I hear it coming…

How long will it take for the gay left to dig up half-sister Candice again? I’m guessing Wednesday.

My concern about Newt is how unpredictable he is. My enthusiasm for Newt is that all the bright bulbs in the Obama cadre can never account for how unpredictable Newt is.

Ergo: Newt hogties Obama and his teleprompter dependent smarter-than-the-rest-of-the-world mediocrity.

While the left hates Newt in droves, Newt leaves the left sucking both thumbs.

Interesting. After three contests, “the only candidate capable of beating Obama” is one for three. But you gotta love Newt for finally fighting back when the liberal media thought they could destroy him with one question.

I expect in the next debate, Mittens will come out swinging against the media.

This could be an Obama vs Hillary scenario.

Both Newt and Mitt have image problems, the long primary will help generate media and voter interest and force each to find ways to connect to the national electorate.

I hope it goes on to the very end.

Whatever his baggage, Newt is fearless in the face of the Left’s attack machine and that’s exactly what we conservatives/Republicans need. It’s time to stop being ashamed of what we believe and afraid to fight the Left the way the Left doesn’t hesitate to fight us. That’s the message I take from Newt’s victory in South Carolina. Go, Newt!

Think I may go for Newt in Florida next week. Glad my polling place is at my school and they may give extra credit for voting.
