Gas up 40 cents in 2 weeks

Two weeks ago yesterday, one could buy a gallon of regular at the Shell Station on Fairfax & Beverly in Los Angeles (one of the cheapest places to fill up in Hollywood) for $3.93. Last night, the price was 40 cents higher:

    Insofar as Obama, GOPers, neo-cons, and others (especially in the media) continue to beat the drum for war with Iran, I would expect that oil speculators are betting on a significant constriction, somewhere in the Straits of Hormuz, sometime this year…

    With predictions of $6 a gallon by summer, I’ll bet push comes to shove pretty soon. It will be interesting to see how the admin/press spin $6 a gallon gas into a reason to re-elect Obama.

    Chu’s honesty is good; however, this also shows Obama’s arrogance. Gas prices will be a major campaign factor against Obama in 2012.
