When a Democrat acts uncivilly on the congressional floor, they get punished ….

Civility from the party of people who make casual death threats is not a logical thing to expect.

… but members of that party can bugger 17 year olds and get standing ovations.

Finally! A republican actually forced the rules to be applied to a democrat.

Barney took the fall, even though he is retiring. The D’s can now sport the flag of civility in its corner. Woo hoo! Big whoop.

Both the Dems and the GOP are slow to reprimand their own. . .and both parties do not want to start a big squabble that would eventually lead to each party having more skeletons fall out of their respective closets.

Would that it were longer, and sooner in coming.

(contined) In terms of other and larger matters for which Frank deserved to be discplined, I mean.

When a Democrat acts uncivilly on the congressional floor, they get punished ….

But when (virtual) Mr. Westboro Baptist Church pickets a (virtual) online memorial for a good man, he is not punished. (Except by his own stench.) So don’t worry, Cinesnatch, there is plenty of liberality left yet, in a world ready to put up with the nonsense of the foolish and give them the attention they crave. I don’t mean that as a complaint, only as an observation. “You have nothing to worry about.”

ILC, wish we could “like” comments here on this blog and I would strongly like comment #6.

Thanks Dan. I wanted to make clear (in the next line) that I don’t oppose Frank speaking his viewpoint in the least, only that I think there are some large matters out there where I think it is amazing, the “pass” he’s been given.

I don’t want to speak for DB. But I think the reason he wishes to ‘like’ the comment @16 may be for baser reasons. If so, I cant say I disagree. 😉

Evidently, the name Fortney Stark means nothing to you.

Any day Barney Frank has to shut up is one of the brightest days of the year.
