Despite his pronounced self-importance….

Village Voice columnist Michael Musto (again, he’s supposed to be a big deal or something) really has it in for free-thinking gays. And he’s so original, too!
So, here’s to you and your bizarre contradictions, GoProud.
You’re like Jewish Nazis!
Black Klan members!
Women who campaign for Rush Limbaugh!
Mexican Republicans!
Roaches who moonlight as exterminators!
Blech, go away.
TOLERANCE!!!!
Meh, as I said on Twitter…. labeling gay conservatives as “Jewish Nazis” is sooooo 1990s.
PS – I wonder if Mikey has seen this video?
-Bruce (GayPatriot)
I’m sorry – Mikey who?
(yawwnnn……zzzzzzzzzzzz)
Village Voice columnist Michael Musto is one angry homosexual/bisexual.
I had fun and left a few “drive-bys” in the comments at the original Village Voice post….
Well, the 72,440 Rush Babes for America probably have a different opinion.
And that’s about 72,300 more women than have even heard of Michael Musto.
Mexican Republicans? So I take it that Mr. Musto believes that all Mexicans are criminals.
Also, is the Village Voice some sort of well-known publication? I’ve never heard of it.
Wait!………….The Village Voice is still in business?……….Publishing physical “copy”?………………No kidding………
Must…stop…freedom…and…independent…thinking…Too…frightening…to…imagine…Play…Nazi…Card…
The Village Voice is irrelevant in the new media age.
So is Michael Musto. But for the love of G-d, don’t tell him: pretentious twits like him tend to have VERY fragile egos, and that might make him menopausal.
As faint praise of what was once The Village Voice, I remind you that what began as a Bohemian counter culture Chelsea Hotel adjunct printed the likes of Jules Feiffer, Norman Mailer, Nat Hentoff, James Baldwin, Katherine Anne Porter, Allen Ginsberg, Tom Stoppard, E.E. Cummings, Henry Miller and then declined to the level of Ted Rall and ads for “adult services.”
It is hardly remarkable that a Bohemian enterprise can not keep itself “authentic” as its cast ages and becomes the status quo. Either it renews itself in the culture of hip-hop, goths, tattoos and piercings or it pimps on its past reputation.
The Village Voice is like an 87 year old bubble dancer and no one cares what is behind the bubble.
Michael Musto is hardly a Stonewall revolutionary. In fact, the Stonewall has a sign telling gawkers to add patronizing the place to their posing and picture taking outside the place. The poor place has become a cheap backdrop for tourists too cheap to honor its integrity.
Everything has become a prop for the likes of Michael Musto. He was too late for the plantation degradation, so he has to parade as a perpetual victim.
I used to live in NYC. Musto writes an utterly inane and worthless celebrity gossip column. His drivel is the most irrelevant part of an increasingly irrelevant newspaper. He’s a self-aggrandizing, irrelevant twit.
12 – “The poor place has become a cheap backdrop for tourists too cheap to honor its integrity.”
If only the tourists could know the memories held in those walls of weekday nights when the bourbon and cigars were free flowing and so too talk of Hemingway, the Greeks, classical/modern art and music……………………..(Sigh)
Those Taiwanese videos are so weird. But I’d say it does a good enough job of accurately depicting the situation (not literally though, of course).
#12 and gangs of young rowdy lesbians.
#9 heh 🙂 Shatner imitation?
Am I the only one confused by this? I didn’t know he was running for anything.
Jewish Nazi?
Wasn’t that a good descriptor of Soros?
Shush! He pays the bills!
Mr.Savage can say what he likes but I’m rather flattered that GOProud has “liked” my comment on their FB page today.
When the right wing eventually decide to round up all gay people one day and put them in gas chambers and exterminate them will you be thinking “Oh, well, I’m just glad Romney helped me get an extra $50 on my tax return??”
#22
You are an idiot.
#22:
Of all the things one can choose as a catalyst for paranoia, I don’t see why you chose the one you did over the threat of killer butterflies.

Sigh.
We were promised our Holocaust in 1980, 1984, 1988, 2000, and 2004 and we didn’t get it then. Now 2012?
Once bitten, twice shy, six times you’re a nutjob.
The Village Voice is the publication that unapologetically profits from sex trafficking, isn’t it?
Economic freedom is both the canary in the coal mine, and its structural supports. Where the coal mine is, you know, human freedom in general. Including gay freedom.
You gotta ‘love’ the cluelessness of somebody who thinks that support for economic freedom is a matter of a few dollars on a tax return. And that leftists seriously like gays.
But asjablia has one point… our left-wing commentor, Kevin, was after all rounded up and sent to a gay death camp in Wyoming or something.
Those who do not work and do not pay taxes cannot understand the value or effect of either.
So true!
