Huffington Post: Basically, only Republicans hit below the belt

Take a gander of this screen capture I made on AOL’s home page in the wee hours of the morning:
It leads to a post about a bad joke a “long-time Pennsylvania GOP official” made about Obama supporters.  This is a leading national news story?

At the bottom of the article, the folks at the Huffington Post created a slideshow of “Below-The-Belt Political Attacks”, all but one of which were leveled by Republicans.  No mention made of the recent the ad released (and immediately discredited) Obama Super PAC ad accusing Mitt Romney of killing a steelworker’s wife or of nasty attacks made by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, respectively, the Democratic leaders of the U.S. Senate and House.

The folks at the Huffington post are just trying make Republicans look like they’re playing nasty when, in this electoral cycle, it is the Democrats, from the party’s leadership on down, have made hitting below the belt its stock-in-trade.

Oh, and the local Republican official apologized.  Mr. Reid hasn’t apologized for calling Republicans evil-mongers.  Nor has Mrs. Pelosi apologized for comparing conservative critics to a bacterium causing food poisoning.

  1. This is because, Dan, the Obama children, including the gay and lesbian community, have utterly failed in their attempts to lie conservatives into surrender and are now resorting to the last weapon in their arsenal.

Screaming, teenager-esque, “You’re the worst and meanest person in the whole world and I hate you and wish you were dead and I’m going to telll all your friends how you beat me” tantrums.

The sole goal here is to abuse people into compliance. That’s it. They’re not even making a pretense of pretending they care any more; this is a raw, unbridled, grab for power, and they do not care how it is obtained. They do not care about your feelings, your desires, your goals, or your opinion; it is a matter of comply or be beaten into compliance.

We are seeing for the first time in its full naked glory exactly what Obama thug Levi meant when he said “dragged kicking and screaming”. And we’re going to see far worse before this is over. These are children — spoiled, selfish, narcissistic teenagers who have grown up thinking that their whims should be everyone else’s law, and who now are attempting to wield the power of government and media to make it so unilaterally.

Realize that the left’s violent fantasies about conservatives are nothing more than projection. They see a conspiracy, a cover-up, violent behavior lurking right under the surface because that is their reality. At the rate Barack Obama is going, we will see civil unrest by election time that makes Occupy Oakland and others look like a Sunday-school picnic.

The thing to keep in mind at this point is that these are tantrum-throwing teenagers. If they win, they have neither the intelligence or vision to make choices that benefit anyone other than themselves and in the short term. We will be like Barack Obama’s grandmother, who worked her butt off only to hear her grandson jeer her as a racist and demand she give him money for clothes, cars, and weed.

  5. Anyone who votes for Obama this Fall is rewarding and endorsing these sleazy tactics.

Anyone who excuses these sleazy tactics is devoid of morals, ethics, or scruples.

  6. PuffHaol seem determined, not only to elect Obama, but drive more and more sensible people away from the so-called “mainstream” media.

  8. Rush had some cogent thoughts today on his program about this topic as only Rush can put things. He is rather unique. I know it is long, but it may be worth the read. Like NDT, he hits the nail on the head.

  9. @rusty

His bold statement was he’s support talking with the boy scouts if they’d kill gays (like the Taliban and Muslim Brotherhood) instead of ‘just’ excluding them.

  10. http://www.edgeboston.com/news/politics/news/135864/romney,_obama_agree:_boy_scouts’_gay_ban_is_wrong

video of the debate was released by GLAAD and shows Romney, who at the time was a national board member of the BSA, saying that sexual orientation should not be considered when joining the organization.

In the video, the former governor of Massachusetts says that, “the Boy Scouts of America does a wonderful service for this country.” “I feel that all people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts, regardless of their sexual orientation,” Romney added.

Jennifer Tyrrell, who made headlines when was ousted as a Cub Scout den leader because she is a lesbian, said she is pleased that Romney stood behind his statements.

“I’m happy to hear that Mitt Romney’s campaign confirmed his support for the participation of my family, and families like mine, in the Boy Scouts of America,” Tyrrell, who has petitioned for the BSA to removed the controversial policy, said. “I think President Obama should also let the public know what he thinks about a cultural institution like the Boy Scouts banning gay Americans.”

AP pointed out in the same article that, although President Obama endorses same-sex marriage, he has yet to make a public statement regarding the Scout’s anti-gay policy — something conservative publications are stressing.

Except that now he has. In a statement to the Washington Blade, a White House spokesperson, Shin Inouye, made a clear and definitive statement.

“The President believes the Boy Scouts is a valuable organization that has helped educate and build character in American boys for more than a century,” Inouye said. “He also opposes discrimination in all forms, and as such opposes this policy that discriminates on basis of sexual orientation.”

“There is one social issue on which Mitt Romney is more liberal than President Obama,” the Washington Times article reads.

When the websites Life Site News and Free Republic reported the story, a number of readers strongly reacted, which prompted them to leave comments.

“I can’t stand Romney. We MUST send as many conservatives as possible to D.C. Obama or Romney, neither of them are on our side. But conservatives on the Hill can mitigate the damage either of these two clowns are capable of,” one person wrote on Free Republic.

“Another presidential candidate hugging the middle rail in a vain, pandering attempts to attract the homosexual vote and appear as a moderate to independent voters. Romney is having a difficult time firing up his own base and this sure won’t help him,” a Life Site News reader commented.

Thus proving my point, since he has no problem negotiating with the Taliban and Muslim Brotherhood.

Oh, so that’s how you want to play?

    Choke on this, then.

And before you start blabbering and screaming about how those were “necessary”, Obama shill, you’re going to eat the fact that you and your fellow Obama Party puppets, Barack Obama included, have been shrieking that there is NEVER a good reason for layoffs and that they’re ALWAYS a result of corporate greed.

Your lies are catching up with you, shill. People are recognizing that you and your Barack Obama are hypocritical, disgusting, lying pigs who will say and do anything, including accusing people of murder, to stay in power.

You will NEVER follow your own rules or your own standards. You will NEVER be honest. You are liars. Pure, unadulterated, malicious, malevolent liars.

No answer, pig? No surprise. You always run away. That’s what you are, a mud-throwing desperate little talking-points pig who needs the Obama Party welfare check and intends to smear and steal from hardworking people to get it.
