No, Ma’am, wrong again; I love my Mom (and so do most Republicans)

August 22, 2012 by B. Daniel Blatt

If she were a Republican and even suggested that Democrats don’t love their mothers, it would make national news and she would be butt of jokes on late-night TV, but Mrs. Boxer is a Democrats and so you won’t hear much of this in the media.  Erika Johnson reports that while “speaking at a Planned Parenthood event in California yesterday”, the failed junior Senator from California accused Republicans of waging a war on women:

“There is a war against women, and Romney and Ryan — if they are elected — would become its top generals,” Boxer said calling Akin’s comments a “direct outgrowth” of the extreme positions on abortion held by Republicans.

“Where’s the outrage by Mitt Romney?” Boxer asked, “There is a sickness out there in the Republican Party, and I’m not kidding. Maybe they don’t like their moms or their first wives; I don’t know what it is.”

Outrage, ma’am?  Do you read the news?  Mitt Romney has condemned Akin’s comments and expressed his desire that the Missouri Republican exit the Senate contest.  Sure sounds like outrage to me.

How mean-spirited to suggest that the crazy commentary of one candidate (since repudiated by said candidate–and criticized by all prominent Republicans who have weighed in on the matter) is an outgrowth of the party’s pro-life policies.  Democrats do want to milk this for all its worth.

Ma’am, I know it’s not customary for Democrats to do such things, but an apology is in order.

NB:  Tweaked the title (thrice).

UPDATE:  Twichy has a great roundup of Twitter reaction to Ma’am’s mean mutterings.

Anyone want to ask Barb Boxer why they hate children? I don’t see any ‘outrage’ about the child rapist in their party.

Do wonder why Mrs. Boxer was so eager to embrace Bill Clinton and so silent when a woman leveled a credible (and corroborated) rape charge against that Democrat.

Abortion anytime, anywhere, at any stage of pregnancy, for any reason, paid for by the state is also an extreme position that only a fringe minority advocates… but somehow, it is the position of the Democrat party and no one calls it “extreme.”

I have asked this many times, but I have never received an answer.

How is it that a position that supports what many people consider murder not extreme, but a position that opposes what many people consider murder extreme? It doesn’t make any sense.

    Here’s what I don’t get:

“A woman can’t get pregnant from rape.” – Crazy Talk.
“A foetus magically becomes a baby when a woman wills it to be so.” – Science.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Two of the most barbaric things that any society could ever do or dream of doing:

    1. Kill it’s senior citizens and elderly because they are costly and inconvenient.

    2. Kill the just born or yet to be born in the womb just because they are inconvenient and costly to the mother or society.

Interesting how it is that both of these actions are brought to you by the same political party and ideology.

I too Rattlesnake have yet to have it explained to me how these actions are valid to any civilized group of people. Still waiting………………

Given the state California is in, I guess we’ll just have to suffer more from Boxer’s annoying presence. I suppose even a lapsed Catholic as myself can offer this up for good graces while enduring it…

I loved my mother, but sadly, she is no longer here on Earth. Mrs. Boxer is just obnoxious and should put a sock in her mouth.

California gave us this mentally charged person and nanzi pelosi. Is it something in the water?

Any news of the big one coming to rid us of people like those (and especially voters that put them in positions of power?)

I loved my mother who passed away 11 years ago.

As a woman I am also sick of being told the GOP hates women. Whenever I ask for specifics from those telling me how much the GOP hates me and I am voting against my own interests the only two things they ever bring up are abortion and birth control pills.

I think I would rather elect a government who has my children’s future and the debt the government incurs for them than somebody who is going to make my employer give me free birth control pills.

I wish some of these leftists — who sigh and sob so about their “commitment” to my interests — would tell me why I, a lesbian, should give a flying rat’s patootie about this issue.

I’m supposed to consider it important that women be made even more easily sexually accessible to men without consequences to either party. Yeah, right. What’s more, my taxes are supposed to fund it.

This truly is a descent down the rabbit hole with Alice.
