My Twitter limit has been reached. So I’m moving over here to the big site to write out my instant reaction.
This was not a unifying speech. As I mentioned in the radio program, like Tuesday night Obama’s speech was designed to rile up the 20% of hard-core liberals and avoid a McGovern-like loss.
There are not enough radical feminists, leftist minorities and gays to find anywhere close to a majority coalition. I’m more convinced than ever that Obama/Biden will be lucky to get over 46% in November.
This speech was given as if he hasn’t been President for 4 years. It was as if Marty McFly took us all into the DeLorean and sent us back to before Obama took the oath of office. It was a complete rehash of previous Obama State of the Union speeches. Boring, predictable and tired.
Also, I found that Obama looked and sounded like he knows it’s over. He knows tomorrow’s jobs numbers tonight and I believe that is why he sounded somber especially at the beginning. Let’s see if I’m right at 8:30AM tomorrow.
This was not Reagan 1984. This was Al Gore in 2000. Petty, self-indulgent and divisive.
Oh by the way, I cannot WAIT until the VP debate. Ryan will LITERALLY kill Biden.
