While median income across the country decline. . .

September 20, 2012 by B. Daniel Blatt

. . . to its lowest level since 1995, incomes in the Washington, D.C. area continue to climb.

Wonder why that is?

Hmmm, …because they’re all dependent on the Guv’ment?

Ted, that’s probably a good part of it. Another part is even more gruesome. Despite the fact that the economy is still horrible, paid lobbyists seem to be in high demand and doing well. And so are those whose living is election campaigning. Somehow campaigns are raising an exponentially increasing amount of money for incompetent politicians. Go figure.

As one of those leeches living in the National Capitol Region, I would gladly give up my six figure income if Government spending could be cut by a third.

That’s because that’s where all the “vunnables” live. Speaking of which, enjoy some Shirley Q. Liquor talking about the topic:

I believe per capita income is rising in the DC area because they are very hard workers who do the jobs that other Americans cannot do. Their productivity is so immense that they deserve to be paid that much.

    “Wonder why that is?”

When you figure that out, then Nancy Pelosi making $15 Million in 2011 will make sense…

I live near enough to “the District” and flit in and out of it enough to know the “inside” story. It is the model of Michael Jackson’s Neverland where $400 bottles of wine are mere introductions and serious players will kiss your baboon’s blue cheeks for a seat in the corner at “lunch.” The hint of power is pure gold and gossip is platinum for the envious.

The WaPo and the Democrat establishment loathe those who don’t play their games and will spill endless ink to destroy them. Nowhere is phoniness more valued. Andrea Mitchell, for instance,is both dumb and ugly, but she rules like Leona Helmsley in heat. If you want a seat at her table, you will do unspeakable things to acquire it. If you don’t shiv a git, she will dismiss you like drowned vermin.

    What a happy place.

Hey, our “progressive” overlords are working hard for the people. They deserve to live better than those of us who just pay the bills.

That is what I was going to say. Also, they are highly skilled and competent.
