Mr. President, You Stand Down
If you follow me on Twitter, you now that I have become quite angry following shocking reports on Friday that our CIA operatives fighting in Benghazi were three-times denied requests for backup during the siege of the Benghazi consulate.
Since the news broke, the CIA has thrown the White House under the bus and yet no one has denied the important part of the story – Three requests to help were specifically rebuffed by the US chain of command. No one has denied that there WERE requests, only who denied them.
Here’s what is known as fact.
- The President, Vice President and his National Security Team were in the White House Situation Room at 5:00PM on Sept. 11, 2012 watching livestreaming video from the consulate itself and by drones overhead.
- Requests from Tyrone Woods & Glenn Doherty came for help from the CIA annex to help save those trapped in the consulate.
- Those requests were denied by someone(s) in the US chain of command.
- Woods & Doherty ignored orders, saved almost forty people trapped at the consulate as well as the body of Sean Smith who had been killed.
- Ambassador Stevens was hiding in a safe room and Woods & Doherty couldn’t find him.
- Woods & Doherty returned to CIA safehouse and began taking mortar fire, and for the last time their request for support was denied and they were both killed.
- President Obama went to bed before the situation was over.
- President Obama flew to Las Vegas on 9/13 to attend a fundraiser.
Here is what the White House has refused to answer since this coverup began:
- Who decided (and why) to proactively come out with the “YouTube Video” demonstration cover story so aggressively when CIA & State knew by Sept. 14 it was false.
- Why was security denied to Ambassador Stevens despite his multiple requests throughout 2011.
- Why was Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi on 9/11/12 with no extra security.
- And finally, and perhaps most importantly now, who denied the three requests for help by the CIA operatives who gave their lives in Benghazi?
This situation is far worse than Watergate ever hoped to be. And our national news media (excluding FOX News) is complicit in the cover-up by the Obama Administration. Our press, protected by our own Consititution, have become enemies of the American people (those are the words of Democratic pollster Pat Cadell this weekend). At the very least, the three major TV news network operations should be demanding answers.
Hopefully, the American people will render the judgment and eject Obama on November 6. If he is re-elected, his second term will, at the very least, become consumed with the Benghazi firestorm.
Finally, this story isn’t over. I have sources in the blogosphere who tell me directly that senior military officials are furious that men were left in the battlefield. They know that POTUS himself issued the “stand down” order and allowed our men to die while he watched live on video stream. That is beyond the pale.

It will never happen, but it should – this piece of human garbage should be impeached and sent into history on an allegorical rail.
What he did to those men is beyond human comprehension.

Tony-
I do not have direct sourcing. But I’m being told by people that do that things behind the scenes with senior military chiefs is VERY serious and getting very tense.
Petraeus wants to stay on as CIA head, so he is unwilling to make a public event a week before election.
But continued information is still to come — probably this week — including video of the consulate under attack that the POTUS was watching.
Stay tuned and call all of the TV networks and demand they cover this story NOW.

When I first started hearing some of the details listed above on Thursday and Friday, it made me physically ill. The commander in chief cannot lead from behind. You have to care about the people who’s lives depend on your decisions. Shame on Barack Obama. And shame on the old media for not asking questions to inform the American public.
Obama made a decision to confine the deaths to 20 or fewer, hoping they could manage that easier than if 40 were killed by sending in gun ships. American power is there to be used when necessary.
Obama has the european view of the military. Keep the military small, then don’t use what military that you do have.
It makes me sick to my stomach to think of soldiers fates resting in the hands of this man. Shame on those who put him in that chair.

Has anyone here ever read the website “The Ulsterman Report”.? I discovered it a few days ago and have been pouring through it going back a few months. Found an interesting post from about June 2012 talking about how Obama loves to watch the videos of drone strikes over and over.. What’s stated here by Bruce kind of coincides with that when mentioning watching what was going on… Excellent article Bruce.. Thank you.

OK, my “sources” tell me that the State Department was up to their eyeballs in running arms to “friendly” Islamic rebels in Libya and that Stevens was the intermediary. When the “friendly” Islamic rebels turned on the new Libyan “government” Stevens was tasked with getting the most “delicate” arms back from the Islamic rebels.
If that sounds like a classic clusterf**k, it is because it is. Obambi and St. Hillary are each and together looking for a scapegoat. That would be General Ham who was just replaced without a promotion or lateral move by Panetta.
So, you have Panetta, Clinton and Obama circling the wagons against the professional military. General “Betrayus” at the CIA is holding his cards tight. And Chuckie Schumer is nowhere to be found.
The object is to keep this contained until election day. Obambi will not be impeached if re-elected, because his bomb throwers will be exultant and not Republican living has the testosterone necessary to do what the Constitution requires. The bully wins.

Either Obama told them to stand down and left them to die (although maybe he was hoping nobody else would die).
Or Obama was uninvolved in the decision making and by omission left them to die.
Either way he was derelict in his duty as CiC and then he lied about it.
Nobody died in Watergate, but our media is taking a collective yawn on this issue because they want Obama to win the election.

I might be a foreigner but I have a lot of thoughts and opinions on this subject.
At last someone, that is Heliotrope framed one issue the right way regarding the arms issue. However, I will counter that these could be the arms that were in the Gadhafi arsenal that were never recovered.
The unfriendly Islamists were always those in Ansar al Sharia. In some ways it explains why the leadership of the Libyan rebels were reluctant to have boots on the ground – they did not want to encourage this faction to involve their Al Qaeda affiliates.
This does not absolve the fact that the new regime was weak and was not able to do much to control the militias that had been roaming around Libya.
Within weeks of this attack the residents of Benghazi and Derna took matters into their own hands and they ousted Ansar al Sharia. They want nothing to do with them. Those actions tell me a lot about those people, and maybe more about Islamist groups that had been attempting to usurp the new regime at every possible turn.
This betrayal of American citizens was also a betrayal of Libyan citizens as well as of the Libyan government.
I agree, expect more information to be leaked.

I’m convinced that Obama, et al, were derelict in their duty.
But the big issue here isn’t yet another bungle from the Obama administration or the moral vacuum that is our national government (civilian and military) but the fact we’re involved in the Muslim world in the first place.
And now comes Romney promising to continue the errors of the past (there’s little daylight between Mitt and BHO on, say Syria – a craphole of a country that is of no real interest to us).
What we really need is a foreign policy that first answers the question: what’s in it for us? If that question cannot be answered or if the answer is “nothing” then we need to sit on our hands. As far as Israel – let it defend itself without our meddling… they should not need our permission – only our support.
Meddling in Muslim affairs has blown up in our faces whether the president was Obama, Bush, Reagan, Carter, or Clinton. The same can be said for European involvement… the Muslim world is where western nations go to exhaust themselves and die. Leave the Muslim world to fight out it issues without us and keep them out of our country.

Straightaussie the group that chased Ansar-al-Sharia out of Benghazi also freed 20 people they were holding hostage, no one gave the cause Ansar-al-Sharia was holding them so I’m guessing it was a Blackmail for cash scheme, a lot of illegal groups do it to raise money for operating expenses though out the world.

I totally agree.
One of the things that has made my head want to explode through this whole travesty is the fact that the MSM just yawns and moves on. The only serious story ever covered on Benghazi by the MSM seems to be Romney’s supposed gaffes after the Cairo embassy attacks.
This was really good commentary by Pat Caddell in an interview on Fox about the dereliction of the MSM on the Benghazi story.

This whole story from day one has made me angry. I am bothered that the president of my country allowed Americans to die and then didn’t have the balls to admit what he did and instead blamed it on a youtube video. He probably would have gotten by with it, if not for the new media.

Trust me, military leaders, staff – active and retired – are in the know what happened; while panetta and obama can replace commanders – time and facts are on these commanders side.
Petreaus is in the know; but everybody has to remember – that our governement is infiltrated by jihadists -our enemies, who assist in the current policies – because of obama, clinton, biden and brennan.
The reason Stevens was in a ‘safe room’ is because this suppose to be a hostage event, concted by jarrett, obama etc…but went wrong. Obama, biden, jarrett, clinton, panetta all watched live as our men were butchered.
obama went to bed thinking his ‘wag-the-dog’ concocted hostage ‘spiel’ was going as planned. In his perverted mind, he thought he’ll be the hero – ‘rescuing’ Stevens abusing our Seals once more – just like OBL.
Why do you think, Stevens was w/o security? Stevens also ‘had’ to fly to Benghazi that night, because he needed to meet w/Turkish guy to talk about their recent blow-up of ‘Fast and Furious International x1000′ and, pressured by Putin surveilling their dirty deeds in Syria once more. Obama has been actively recruiting jihadist of all stripes, incl AQ to overthrow Syria and Jordan. He wants to continue to get his MBinto power.Obama is a member of the MB; during his 1981 trip to Pakistan, he was in a muslim brotherhood training camp.
Although obama and panetta firing commanders, they can’t keep them quiet forever – although they are trying hard because they continue to ‘refuse’ four commanders testifying to congress. They have been repeatedlt refused to appear!

Obambi and friends (MSM) can keep this thing tamped down until after the election. The current news cycle has been hi-jacked by Sandy for most of the week. Then the shift to the massive clean-up. Then the last flurries of campaigning before election day.
If Obama is the loser, there is no impeachment possible. If Obama is the winner, he will go into full bunker mode and equate Benghazi with racism and TEA Party dividers out to destroy him.

Dollars to doughnuts, the attack was supposed to result in a bunch of hostages that POTUS could swoop in and save. But, the attackers went too far and killed the key person, so he punted and did nothing. It is always telling when a killer parent does not react when told that the child they killed is dead.
