Move along, no anti-Palin animus here
Just caught this on Yahoo!
Washington Post fooled by fake story of Sarah Palin joining Al-Jazeera
How eager are our friends in the legacy media to believe the worst about this accomplished reformer.

And lots of lefties are mad at… Sarah Palin.
A Canadian blogress, Kathy Shaidle, has a recurring tag line that would fit this story perfectly: Journalists – your moral and intellectual superiors!

It seems like such a simple error for a sincerely progressive journalist to make. It really isn’t fair to defraud a journalist the ambuscade of Currant vs. Current and Al-JaJizzraa vs. Al-Jazeera. This is a case of “no-journalist-left-behind” failing and that makes this whole machination the fault of George W. Bush.

Reminds me so much of Rathergate, that the memo wasn’t real didn’t matter. What mattered is that they wanted to believe it to be true. That made it true.
So, it doesn’t matter that Palin didn’t join or even considered joining Al-Jazeera; what matters to many on the left is that it is something in their mind that she “would” do. Therefore, it must be true.

Along those lines, CBs reported a joke told by OSU coach Urban Myer as an actual historical account.
