Our world has dimmed a bit further. I’m old enough to remember when all this was happening, how radical she and Reagan were. I would sneak smokes behind our house, we would stay out all night in the city with no worries, we had never heard of a Kardashian, and Thatcher freed Poland. It was a glorious time.

The greatest one two punch against socialism and communism, Thatcher and Reagan. The world was a better place while they were in office. Why the conservative movement, at home and abroad, can´t produce more like them instead of less is a mystery to me. She was a prophetess when she said socialism will end when it runs out of Other Peoples Money. It´s happening in the EU and beginning here. When there is no more money left, maybe the takers will realize that capitalism is the only route to prosperity.

Ronald Reagan led us to make America great again, and the Iron Lady put great back in Great Britain. R.I.P. Baroness Margaret Thatcher.

Seeing Thatcher go after the socialists brought tears to my eyes. She, along with Reagan and Churchill, are my three favorite politicians of the 20th century. Looking back, we had a remarkable era of Baroness Thatcher, President Reagan, and John Paul II, who helped vanquish the evils of communism. Regrettably, the Democrats in Congress at times follow in the footsteps of fascism with their desire to control the economy and people’s behaviors (eating, smoking, drinking, etc) with the exception of sex. I long for a return to conservatism to the US, but it is unlikely as the white population diminishes in influence, and the liberal minority community becomes more powerful. If I live another 30 years, this country will be a cesspool.

The takers will realize the lack of money, but they don’t give a shit because they only think of themselves. Frankly, I don’t want Social Security or Medicare when I get old because I can afford to take care of myself.

When I heard the news I couldn’t’ stop crying. But I think I cried for we she left behind. She is with Reagan and Churchill and the angels. We are left with a country that has embraced everything they fought against. God help us. Please

Very sad that the last member of what I’ve always liked to call the “Holy Trinity” (Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II) has left us. We could use a few more…

Mrs. Thatcher articulated libertarian principles at a time when few others did. She and President Reagan stood alone in that. In those days, capital-L Libertarians were completely ignored. In those dark days, Thatcher and Reagan helped keep libertarian ideas alive.

    davinci:

I fear that your prophecy will come true, the country will become a cesspoll, if the radical left liberals stay in power. I shake my head when I hear liberal pundits accuse conservatives of having moved the Republican Party to the far right, and to be viable should move more to the center. They never admit that they have moved to the extreme left. One of Baroness Thatcher´s accomplishments (or unintended consequences) was, that by her policies which turned England around, the Labor Party moved more to the center. Tony Blair, taking a page out of Bill Clinton´s playbook, campaigned as a new Labor Party candidate.

The posted video is wonderful. At 2:35, Thatcher predicts exactly the bad things that have since happened to Europe because of its common currency, the Euro.
