So, what do Obama appointees know about IRS Investigations*?

In writing about the IRS Tea Party Snooping Scandal, Ace’s CDR M asks a question about the official response which could also apply to administration’s response to the Benghazi talking points:

Does anyone in position of authority know anything in this administration?

Once again, conservatives should not let up on this issue until we know who sanctioned the targeted investigations  – and who crafted the crazy things they asked Tea Party groups.

Basically, the excuse the Obama team is offering is that, oh, we’re not corrupt, we’re just incompetent.

*And the Benghazi talking points doctoring.

UPDATE:  Seems they know a lot.  Just caught this on Yahoo!’s home page, AP Exclusive: IRS knew tea party targeted in 2011:

Senior Internal Revenue Service officials knew agents were targeting tea party groups as early as 2011, according to a draft of an inspector general’s report obtained by The Associated Press that seemingly contradicts public statements by the IRS commissioner.

  3. And, perhaps realizing they can’t blame Bush for everything, they have decided the Benghazi scandal is Romney’s fault.

The corruption of the Obama Regime is matched only by its shamelessness.

  4. In the closing days of Obama´s first term his Mid-East Policy was unravelling. Now in the one hundred days of his second term, not only the Middle East continues to unravel but his domestic policies are unravelling. Jimmy Carter is beginning to look like a genius along side of Obama, and we know what a failure he was. I guess that makes Obama a super failure. If he survives impeachment he´ll leave office severly wounded. As more is being revealed, Democrats should take a hit in the next couple of elections. Hillary is toast. The Dems will have to look hard to find a new face who will be as virgin as Snow White. If the Republicans can´t make hay in 2014, and capture the White House in 2016; it will be time to start a new party.

  5. I am actually stunned that this has taken so long to come to light. Living just outside of Cincinnati, I have been hearing about this for almost a year. That no one “higher up” came forward immediately to fix this “error” speaks volumes. That they actually said with a straight face that this wasn’t political just shows how adept they are at lying. That everyone is just shrugging their shoulders and saying “of course it was political, what do you expect?” is a testament to how hopeless/helpless people feel. What can we do? Nothing, since those in charge control the judges. Who cares? Not the half that put this administration in control, they all think this is great! And the rest of us? We are just republican conspiracy asses who will exaggerate ANYTHING to try to hurt this president. We must change that talking point before anything else will matter.

  6. Looking at how the State-Run Media circles its wagon around the Dhimmicrat Party, how the Obamapologists spin their excuses and how this administration applies the “Chicago Way” to anyone who steps out of line, I have come up with one conclusion:

It is far easier to deal with terrorists than with libtards.

And yes, I went there. Deal with it.

  7. Most uninformed/low info voters don’t give a rat’s petutie about Benghazi, IRS investigations, the deficit, etc. American Idol and the Kardashians are more exciting. Who cares about the country when you can slide through life with a third of your brain?

  8. Roberto: You forgot that Obama is half black, which inoculates him from any criticism. By making a case against him, you are a racist, sexist, ageist, homophobe, anti environment, greedy capitalist pig.

  9. In 1993, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn implored the West not to “lose sight of its own values, its historically unique stability of civic life under the rule of law—a hard-won stability which grants independence and space to every private citizen.”

How many voters today ever heard of, Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn?

  11. If the administration is going to blame Bush for the appointment, we can blame the Obama appointed TurboTax Timmy for incompetence in failing to adequately supervise him.

And I am expecting apologies from liberal media outlets and media figures in three, two, one … never mind.

USA Today published a timeline today:
    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/05/12/irs-tea-party-tax-exempt-investigation-controversy/2152151/

    Interesting (and infuriating) reading.

  12. Davinci, a large portion of Obama voters do not worry about the IRS auditing them because either they pay no taxes or they receive the EIT, why worry about an audit when they have nothing to audit?

PH, I would say rather that it is far easier for conservatives to deal with terrorists than liberal idiots. Liberals are covering their eyes and ears, chanting Islam is peaceful so they can ignore the terrorists that continue to assault us despite the wonderfullness of the Obama apology world wide tour. Can’t make the O look like buffoon he is.
