  1. This is one issue that left, right and center should be able to get behind.

The USA needs a strong 4th estate to keep the sunlight on government actions. Hopefully congress can pass a shield law to give protections to journalists and ensure they can continue to dig into the government actions.

  3. There are already shield laws, rules and regulations this administration ignored, mike.

And the entire purpose of shield laws in the modern world is to enshrine that some press is more equal than others. If a ‘shield law’ protecting CBS and excluding LGF had been in place, would we have known that CBS was pimping forged documents?

  4. And President Mugabe’s reliable bootlicker echoes the Regime’s “Shield Law” talkling point. Of course, if his beloved President Mugabe were an honest and decent man, he wouldn’t be abusing his power in the first place. And since he is neither honest nor decent, no paper law is going to stop him anyway. After all, “The law is irrelevant”

Also, the “Shield Law” contains a natinal security exception; so President Mugabe and his corrupt regime would have just gone after Rosen and his family and co-workers on that basis.

  5. The USA needs a strong 4th estate to keep the sunlight on government actions.

Which of the following has stayed focused and reported, summarized and broken news regularly on Benghazi, the IRS scandal, and Obamacare (you may choose up to three):

    MSNBC
    CNN
    ABC
    CBS
    NBC
    FOXNews
    The NYT
    The WaPO
    The Washington Examiner
    NPR
    Jon Stewart
    Rush Limbaugh

Do you see any sort of a pattern?

Explain how a shield law would have helped the others strengthen their shining the light of the sun on the government.

Bonus points: What is Candy Crowley eating and who is feeding her?

Extra Credit: Write an essay of up to 500 words on whether looking the other way, shading the truth or flat out lying works best as a strategy for a bootlicking journalist in protecting the man he loves.

  6. Apparently, it matters not what revelations eminate from this administration – you simply cannot save someone who’s convinced that the Second Coming has already occurred.

Dana Milbank, of all people, wrote an article for WaPo earlier this week, basically saying that not only is the Rosen scandal real, but that the admin has clearly crossed the line in its pursuit of journalists it deems disloyal.

You should see the comments…one big collection of idiots covering their ears and screaming, “LIES, LIES,LIES!!!! Faux News had it coming!”

Almost comical, were it not so fascist.

I don’t know about that, but I bet when she dresses in black, she looks like a stolen Mercedes.

Rumor has it she once devoured an entire country.

  8. Another case of the vaunted “4th Estate” promoting a narrative over the facts

Much of the new evidence disclosed Thursday in filings by Zimmerman’s attorneys comes from Martin’s cell phone, including photos showing a semiautomatic pistol and ammunition and small marijuana plants growing in pots.

In other pictures, Martin is pictured making obscene gestures in an apparent self-portrait

Gee, you mean Trayvon Martin wasn’t the innocent little schoolboy gunned down by a trigger-happy racist like the narrative presented by the 4th estate? Gee, which side got *that* story right?

  9. Obama Campaign Targeted Conservatives for Harassment in 2008

So… it’s just a COINCIDENCE… that the tactics of the Obama campaign precisely mirror the policies of the IRS after Obama became president?

  10. Speaking of swooning, mikey’s fellow bootlickers at MSNDC fell over themselves in gushing praise for Mugabe’s nothingburger terrorism change-the-subject speech.

“Today, the president gave one of those speeches — an Obama speech. One of those signature speeches by this person at this moment in history that somehow rise up out of normal politics and address a taboo with an uncommon level of frankness and clarity and nuance.” — MSNBC’s Christopher Hayes

“Today’s speech was an important historic moment. It was a speech worthy of a man who has won the Nobel Peace Prize.” – MSNBC’s Al Sharpton

“This is a big historic speech. This is a turning point for the way America talks about its role in the world.” – MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow

“It was, I believe, the kind of presidential leadership many of us applaud. It probably helps I agree with everything the president said today.” – MSNBC’s Chris Matthews

Because, of course, a “shield law” will be observed by Barack Obama, when none of the other EXISTING laws to this effect were.

Don’t worry, mike, we know you won’t reply. Like V the K put it, you’re Mugabe’s bootlicker, mentally and morally incapable of holding your Obama to the same standards you demand of others.

  13. 3. The_Livewire “There are already shield laws, rules and regulations this administration ignored, mike.”

And not just regarding journalism. The Left has strongly approved of Obama ignoring Constitutional limits on his power. Only when liberal journalists find themselves in the crosshairs does the tune change. Funny, that.

  21. #1: “Hopefully congress can pass a shield law to give protections to journalists and ensure they can continue to dig into the government actions.”

Oh, man. You guys are right–this is one of the best illustrations of the profound, hopeless stupidity of liberals like mike. A media shield law, the enforcement of which would fall under the jurisdiction of Obama’s DOJ…headed by Attorney General Eric Holder…the same Eric Holder that’s been spying on reporters…the same Eric Holder assigned by Obama to investigate Eric Holder for spying on reporters….and has now committed perjury while testifying about it.

Liberals SUPPORT government using the full force of federal agencies to violate our constitutional rights and destroy our lives. If they didn’t, they would abandon this criminal administration and stand with their fellow Americans, demanding prosecutions, terminations and civil damages. But they don’t. They stand with the government. (Looking at you, mike!) We are on our own.

P.S. Think Obama and other liberals are ‘outraged’ that the IRS spent years targeting conservative groups and intentionally violating their constitutional rights? Think again. They want to sweep it under the rug so it can continue. One of their strategies to accomplish that is to try and turn this scandal into ‘an open dialogue’ about tax exemption reform.

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/05/25/former-npr-ceo-ken-stern-the-irs-had-the-right-idea.html

These despicable people have been caught doing EXACTLY what we knew they wanted to do. Now, they want to have ‘a dialogue.’ FU*K THAT. There will be no dialogue.
