If I were to pick a president to compare Obama to, I wouldn’t choose Nixon. I’d choose Mugabe.
– Both Mugabe and Obama looted the Treasury to redistribute wealth to their cronies.
– Both blamed all of their failures on imaginary white racism
– Both devalued their currencies by printing money
– Both used the power of their Government to harass opponents and silence opposition voices
– Both turned productive farmland into wasteland (i.e. California’s central valley)
Obama just uses modern technology where Nixon needed physical breaking in. If Nixon wanted to read your correspondence and your files, he had to break in to an office. Obama just gets gmail to give him your email, probably peruses your google drive and/or your Mosey or other online backup files, too.

Unlike Nixon, Obama has a willing press and media willing to cover and make excuses for his nefarious activities.

How many have died from 0bama’ various scandals now?
Mugabe is a close run. I’d say FDR, but while 0 is less on fighting America’s enemies, he hasn’t (yet) incarcerated thousands because of how they look.

Nixon said the responsibility made its way to him.
Obama is still searching for where to place the blame.
The investigative journalists in the free and unbiased press are all tied up and locked in on the Jodi Arias punishment crisis.

Trouble with the Mugabe thing is, many would not get the reference. (sigh!)
The game is usually “Bush is not as bad as Obama.” Now it’s “Nixon wasn’t as bad as Obama.”
Nixon and Bush led the way to Obama. The abuse of power by one chief executive opens the door just that much more for abuse of power by a future president.
This game is silly. It’s another pointless exercise in trying to make your team look better than the other.
Too bad both teams can’t lose.

I think the best comparison is Andrew Jackson. He was shockingly popular. His ideas were idiotic and history has shown how much he damaged the country as a whole.

Carol, you mean Andrew Jackson of the Jacksonian Democrats???? Go figure.
I don’t think Nixon actively hated the country, so there’s that.
As perverted as it sounds, I suspect that some people want to compare Obama to Nixon so that Obama will benefit from Nixon’s ‘halo effect’. Nixon only targeted a few people from the opposition party. Compared to Obama, he’s several leagues removed.
The son of a bitch that occupies the office today is a bigger law breaker and wannabe tyrant than Tricky Dick ever dreamed of being.

Does that make him “Barack Hussein Mugabe?”
There’s a bumper sticker in that.

President Mugabe schemes to bypass Congress; exercise absolute power.
Professional Troll Andrew “Milky Loads” Sullivan says Obama is a “moderate Republican.” Of course, he also said Sarah Palin had a magic uterus, so … yeah… deranged.
AIDS-related dementia is a bitch, ain’t it?
And yes, I went there. Deal with it.
