The Hype and the Reality of the SCOAMF Economy

Normally, I leave economic commentary to ILC, because it’s his bag. But he probably has much better things to do on NYE than I do, and there is commentary to be made. According to the MFM and the Democrat Party — but I repeat myself — the economy under Obama is doing totes amazeballs, and anyone who says otherwise is a racist Bible-Thumper bitterly clinging to his ‘Duck Dynasty’ bib’alls.

However, when you look at the actual math (which liberals hate because math is emotionless and rational), the real picture is one where Government spending and debt have exploded and the private economy has withered or, at best, stagnated.

Not even reliable left-wing rag Mother Jones is buying the hype of the so-called economic recovery.

Under Obama and the Democrats, stagnation has become the new normal. There is no plan for economic recovery. They are only hoping they can continue to borrow and spend enough to keep the plates spinning until January 2017, and keep ginning up divisive controversies like ‘Duck Dynasty,’ the ‘War on Women’ and Trayvon Martin to keep the country divided and distracted from their economic failures.

MSDNC Hates on the Romney Family for Adopting a Black Child

When pro-lifers like myself suggest adoption as the preferred alternative to abortion, it is common for pro-abortionists to sneer, “Yeah, as if conservatives are ever going to adopt an unwanted black baby.”

And then, they attack Mitt Romney’s family for adopting a black baby… because Racism.

On MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry on Sunday, the panel was discussing several topics of the “of the year” variety. In the below clip, panelists are shown photos ‘of the year” and asked to offer humorous captions. Host Harris-Perry shows a Romney family photo that includes his adopted grandchild, who happens to be black, and this is the reaction:

The panelists start laughing the moment the photo is on the screen, because obviously. Then the first response is Pia Glenn off-camera sing-songing “one of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same” and the rest of the panel chuckles along. It’s funny because Romney is white and his grandson isn’t, which is obviously hilarious. Because as everyone knows, the races should not mix.

Do ya think Melissa Harris-Perry suspects the Romney’s were motivated by tokenism to adopt a black baby because that’s the precise reason MSNBC was motivated to hire her as an anchor? Iowahawk does.

Update: Melissa Harris-Perry issues the pro-forma liberal fauxpology. Next week, back in-line at the chanting circle.

Sultan Knish explains the hubris of modern liberalism.

Progressives manufacture the consensus of their own intelligence and insist that it proves them right.

Imagine a million people walking in a circle and shouting, “WE’RE SMART AND WE’RE RIGHT. WE’RE RIGHT BECAUSE WE’RE SMART. WE’RE SMART BECAUSE WE’RE RIGHT.” Now imagine that these marching morons dominate academia, the government bureaucracy and the entertainment industry allowing them to spend billions yelling their idiot message until it outshouts everyone else while ignoring the disasters in their wake because they are too smart to fail.

That is liberalism.

And if you aren’t walking in the circle, chanting the chant… then you must be a racist, ignorant, Bible-thumping, redneck, extremist, anti-woman, hick.

Also, their Benghazi Whitewash had nothing to do with helping to get Hillary back in the White House.

Since I will have more to say about which candidate we will endorse in 2016 than any other editor at the Times, let me be clear: We have not chosen Mrs. Clinton. We have not chosen anyone. I can also state definitively that there was no editorial/newsroom conspiracy of any kind, because I knew nothing about the Benghazi article until I read it in the paper on Sunday.

“Let me be clear”… “I knew nothing until I read about it in the paper…” Gosh, those cadences sound familiar.

GLAAD, Blacklists, and Acceptable Fascism

‘With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured…the first thought forbidden…the first freedom denied–chains us all irrevocably.’ Those words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie, as wisdom…and warning. The first time any man’s freedom is trodden on, we’re all damaged.” – Star Trek: The Next Generation “The Drumhead

Hollywood used to think blacklists and the suppression of free speech were terrible things when applied to communists who were working to undermine and destroy the United States of America; but blacklists and suppression are now good things when used to advance the Gay Agenda. But GLAAD has shown them that blacklisting can be a very effective tool in squashing free speech that they don’t agree with.

Within hours of GLAAD’s publication of my addition to the list, which amounts to an excommunication from polite society, an e-mail was sent to the president of my university, along with dozens of other high officials in California, with the announcement: ROBERT OSCAR LOPEZ PLACED ON GLAAD WATCH LIST.

Aside from that one fling on Al Jazeera, since GLAAD placed me on their blacklist, no secular media outlet has invited me on its show in the United States.  In-depth interviews with me have been broadcast in Chile, Russia, France, Ireland, and a number of other nations.  In the United States, Christian broadcasters like the American Family Association and Frank Sontag’s “Faith and Reason” show in Los Angeles have interviewed me.  And I’d been interviewed, prior to the GLAAD blacklisting, by Minnesota affiliates of NBC, CBS, Fox, and NPR, as well as a number of newspapers.  Since GLAAD’s blacklisting, none.

Prior to GLAAD’s blacklisting, I had received calls from people at universities discussing their interest in having me come to campus and give speeches.  Three were working with me to set up dates.  Since GLAAD’s blacklisting, none.  Those who had discussed this with me said point-blank that their superiors did not want to create controversy.

The idea behind this form of proactive speech suppression is simple; punish one man and terrify a thousand more into silence for fear of losing their careers, their income, their social standing.

And underneath it all, leftist progressives don’t really respect teh gheys, they just patronize them for the sake of political correctness, so they can flaunt their “tolerance” they way Victorians flaunted their piety. But every once in a while, the mask slips, as with Alec Baldwin, Al Franken, Tracy Morgan and others… and gay leftists are made aware of the sad little secret that those who are supposed to be their biggest supporters privately loathe and ridicule them.

I imagine that explains at least some of their inconsulable bitterness.

Fictional Anthropomorphic Locomotive Accused of Crimes Against Feminism

A dingbat British Labour MP named Mary Creagh has identified the latest War Criminal in the ongoing War on Women: Thomas the Tank Engine.

Thomas the Tank Engine has been blamed for a lack of women train drivers by the shadow transport secretary.

Mary Creagh said it was a ‘national scandal’ that there were so few women drivers on the railways, but was ridiculed for saying that the popular children’s story was partly to blame.

She said all the main characters in the original books – published in the 1940s – are male, and the only female characters are an ‘annoyance, a nuisance and in some cases a danger’ to the railway.

According to her Wikipedia page, Mary Creagh is a typical leftist whackjob whose previous achievements include campaigns against carbonated beverages and hot water, and who has been described as “lacking in balanced judgment.”

Needless to say, she will never have to worry about being added to GLAAD’s blacklist.

10 Safe Predictions for 2014

Posted by V the K at 4:28 pm - December 29, 2013.

I am making predictions, and I challenge Jeff and the othe cob loggers to make some as well. I don’t claim to be a psychic, but I feel pretty good about these predictions.

  1. The Republicans will totally cave to Obama on the Debt Ceiling, just like they caved on the Budget Deal. The Republican leadership will clap each other on the back over the great deal they got and the MFM will cheer, and spending will continue unabated.
  2. Obamacare will continue to cause hardship and suffering; the administration will continue to issue exemptions and extensions to try and contain the political damage.
  3. Republicans will pick up 2-4 seats in the Senate but will fall short of a majority. Democrats will run their usual “War on Women” campaign together wih rampant use of social media to spread outrageous lies about GOP candidates, because that stuff works so well with the Democrats’ low information voter base
  4. A Democrat congressman, senator, or governor will be found to have engaged in sexual misconduct; the MFM will protect him per Standard Operating Procedure unless defending him becomes politically untenable.
  5. House Republicans will sneak through an Amnesty Bill in the lame duck session, perhaps earlier.
  6. There will be a new Obama scandal involving corruption and the abuse of power; the MFM will do their level best to bury it and delegitimize it.
  7. Media hype over gay athletes at Sochi will eclipse coverage of the actual sporting events.
  8. More evidence will emerge debunking the hoax of Anthropogenic Global Warming; it will be ignored by the media and the Government.
  9. There will be a shooting in a gun-free zone, which will receive much media coverage, which will wane after the shooter cannot be connected to the Tea Party or the NRA.
  10. An atheist group will sue because a town’s innocuous display of religious, specifically Christian, symbols claming it made them all angry and hurt their feelers stuff. Also, Bill Maher will continue to spout things far more offensive than Phil Robertson without consequence.

I predict that my predictions will prove much more accurate than those of this Nobel-prize winning leftist:

What If A&E Were a Bakery…

One of the more interesting things to happen since the ‘Duck Dynasty’ drama moved in to fill the void in a very slow holiday news cycle is that the left suddenly became champions of employers’ rights. Employers may not have the right to refuse to provide employees with free contraception, according to the left, but they sure do have the right to fire and punish people who make GLAAD all mad and stuff.

But what if the scenario were different? What if A&E were a bakery that, as a matter of company policy, did not provide cakes for same sex weddings. And what if Phil Robertson were an employee of that company who spoke out against that policy and was fired. Would GLAAD and the left still champion an employer’s right to fire an employee simply for saying things the management disagreed with?

For people who are intellectually consistent, the rights of the employer would not change based on the content of the speech. However, one cannot help but think that the left would respond differently if a different ox were being gored.

A&E Brings Phil Robertson Back. GLAAD Whines and Pouts.

The slow learners at A&E finally figured out that Christians and families watch ‘Duck Dynasty,’ and gay urban PajamaBoys don’t.

Phil Robertson, the patriarch of A&E’s Duck Dynasty clan who was suspended from his hit reality series on Dec. 18 following some incendiary comments about gay people, won’t be put on hiatus after all.

The network and the Robertson family announced Friday that Phil will still be part of the series — and since he didn’t miss any filming, his temporary suspension will have no effect on the upcoming fifth season.

Reaction from the GLAAD bullies was swift and whiny:

“Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists. If dialogue with Phil is not part of next steps then A+E has chosen profits over African American and gay people – especially its employees and viewers.”

They then skrieked “You’re terrible people and I wish you all were dead,” then ran upstairs, slammed the door shut, and spent the rest of the evening texting their friends about how everything was stupid and unfair.

Update: Some tool at MSDNC named Michael Eric Dyson is apoplectic:

“Phil Robertson and the “Duck Dynasty” is part of a majority white supremacist culture that either consciously or unconsciously incubates hatred toward those who are different.”

Update: CNN’s Marc Lamont Hill is also in full hissy-fit mode.

A Curiosity.

The left pooh-poohs the notion of American Exceptionalism. To quote their philosopher-king, “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” In other words, “American exceptionalism,” is just garden variety patriotism. There is nothing special about America at all.

Yet, at the same time, leftists fervently believe that our debt and deficits are irrelevant (at least when a Democrat is president) and our economy can achieve their goal of regulatory socialism, without national or economic decline as consequence, because America can avoid the downfall of every Imperial Power that went down this same course. To quote the leftist philosopher-king again, “No matter what the naysayers tell us, no matter how dark the other side tries to make things look, the fact is there is not another country on earth that would not gladly trade places with the United States of America.”

So, which is it, people? Is America just an ordinary country? Or is America so exceptional that reckless spending, economic stagnation, and social decay that have destroyed other great nations are things we don’t have to worry about? Do the laws of mathematics and the lessons of history simply not apply to us?

There is a distinct air of leftist triumphalism in the air at the present time. It all reminds me of the (probably apocryphal) comment made by the builder of a certain twentieth-century ocean liner that “God Himself could not sink her.” That arrogance seems to pervade the social left at the present moment as they seem to rack up victory after victory in reshaping society in line with their secular progressive agenda.

PajamaBoy Claims the Only Argument He Ever Lost Was Against a Gay Conservative

PajamaBoy – a.k.a. Ethan Krupp, a.k.a the result of drunken, unprotected fling between Rachel Maddow and Saturday Night Live’s Pat … Metrosexual, 1%er, archetypal Democrat male … claims that he only ever lost one argument… to a gay conservative.

“I sat in a pizza joint, chomping on meat-heavy pizza and slamming whisky sours with gay guys on Pride Parade day in Columbus, Ohio; My gay roommate and friends loved to ironically ‘bro-out.’ I love gays because they are all liberal fucks too,” Krupp wrote.

“Someone mentions politics and everyone perks up, distracted from the whisky. Equal rights get first dibs, followed by education and then sassy comments about closeted Republicans. Feeding off the energy, I introduce abortion: ‘Old men controlling women’s bodies.’ The guy who’s stayed silent, Chip, joins the conversation,” Krupp wrote.

Krupp claimed that he at first told Chip, a conservative on the abortion issue, that his “ignorant views come from his biological disregard toward pregnancy,” prompting Chip to explain a procedure by which fetuses can be removed from the womb, grown elsewhere, then given up for adoption.

“The whisky yelled at Chip for being a terrible gay man. Chip smirked, knowing full well he won the argument,” Krupp wrote.

Everything I read about PajamaBoy adds to the picture of a smug, leftist, phenomenal d-bag; the heart and soul of the modern Democrat party. I can believe he’s never lost an argument, the same way Keith Olbermann, Al Gore, and Rachel Maddow “never lose” arguments, by simply not debating conservatives.

Hat Tip: Legal Insurrection

GLAAD Are Just Terrible People

Fresh from its “victory” over Duck Dynasty, the Fascist, Christian-Hating Bully-Boys and Bully-Womyn of GLAAD successfully threatened and intimidated old comedian Bob Newhart into canceling a scheduled appearance for a group of Catholic Businessmen. Ace comments:

GLAAD demands that Christians (fundmentalists, Catholics, those who believe in the inerrancy of the Bible) renounce a core part of their selves in order to join polite society. If they refuse, they will be excluded from society, by use of social pressure to harass, insult, humiliate, ostracize, and economically marginalize those Christians who do not fall into line.

Is GLAAD’s position so weak, so intellectually indefensible, that it cannot prevail in reasoned debate, and therefore all opposition must be bullied into silence? This is how America becomes divided and balkanized; because groups like GLAAD make civil disagreement impossible. “I disagree with what you say, but I will fight for our right to say it,” has become, “I disagree with what you say, and I will fight to see that you lose your job for saying it.”

And some will say, “Well, it’s all right, because the Government isn’t doing it, it’s just a private group.” No, it’s just technically legal for a private group to do it, that doesn’t make it right. The end result is a divided nation where civil debate is impossible.

2013 Toxic Queen of the Year – MALE and FEMALE

If you follow me on Twitter (and you should)…. you’ll know that I’ve been giving out the daily #ToxicLittleQueen Award for the past few weeks.  The origins of the award come from none other than Alec Baldwin.  Daily recipients show similar disregard for tolerance and decency.

Yesterday, I realized that despite just starting the honor several weeks ago…. I really should bestow the Toxic Little Queen of 2013. But there were SO many suggestions, that I’ve had to break it into two categories.

Feel free to vote for your favorite each day.

Winners will be announced on Twitter on Christmas Eve.

Democrats Think in Stereotypes

Imagine if an Obamacare Advocacy Group (i.e., liberal Democrats) put out an ad promoting Obamacare to blacks that featured black men and women eating fried chicken and watermelon while singing a hymn to Obamacare set to the tune of “Camptown Races.”

Imagine if an Obamacare Advocacy Group put out an ad promoting Obamacare to Hispanics that featured Hispanic men and women driving around in low-riders and picking lettuce while singing a hymn to Obamacare set to the tune of “La Cucaracha.”

Now, with those thoughts in mind, ponder this ad put together by an Obamacare advocacy group to promote Obamacare to Teh Gheys.

“I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.” – Intolerant, bigoted hick, Phil Robertson

“I wish they (Republicans) were all f–king dead!” – Tolerant, enlightened leftist, Dan Savage

There was a deranged conspiracy theory, embraced by some GP Trolls, that the Bush administration was building concentration camps for gays in the Pacific Northwest. That turned out to be about as truthful as “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” But there was Bush-Era official who was plotting something nearly as evil.

A high-level government lawyer who served in the George W. Bush administration tried to transfer gay employees and other workers he didn’t like to Detroit, according to a final report stemming from a years-long federal investigation.

(Scott Bloch, former head of the federal government’s Office of Special Counsel) stated that his plan was to create a new OSC field office in Detroit and to staff it with the homosexual employees, along with others who he (Bloch) viewed as exerting a negative influence on the office.

One should note that these are accusations made by former OSC employees. (i.e. left-wing political hacks).

Detroit has, of course, been run exclusively by left-wing socialist democrats for over forty years, and has of course become a squalid heckhole under their implementation of progressive policies.

Will the Duck Dynasty Kerfuffle Help the Stupid Republicans Pick Up a Senate Seat?

Lousiana Senate Seatwarmer Mary Landrieu was already looking kinda vulnerable in 2014 because of her support for Obamacare. Now, a controversy has blown up in her backyard that squarely divides the conservative, religious voters she needs to win from the deep-pocketed liberals she needs to win.

RedState conjectures that this may tip the balance in favor of her challenger (Republican Bill Cassidy).

Over 90% of evangelicals support Phil Robertson, and agree with his views, as do most Republicans and conservatives. The Robertsons are a LOUISIANA-based family and business, and wildly popular in the state.

Do not expect anyone in the media to ask Ms. Landrieu to weigh in on the controversy; only Republican candidates are ever asked their opinions on difficult and divisive issues. e.g. Abortion-Rape.

One has to wonder if anyone will remember this thing ten months from now; much as everyone outside the Beltway has forgotten the partial Government shutdown.

Y’know, if the GOP had an actual strategy, they wouldn’t have to rely on dumb luck and Democrat screw-ups to win elections.
