Right Wingnuts Proven Right Again

January 8, 2014 by V the K

The left used to deny that Obamacare was a takeover of the national health care system; in fact the left-wing hacks at Politifact rated this assertion the Lie of the Year back in 2010. Tea Party conservatives were attacked as paranoid for claiming that Obamacare was the gateway for socialized health care (now rebranded as “Single Payer.”) But now, the left is admitting what we on the right were claiming all along, Obamacare really is laying the groundwork for “single payer.” Furthermore, it’s a giant, socialist transfer of wealth from the productive to the unproductive.

And the left is happy that Obamacare is the gateway to “Single Payer” because leftist “logic” dictates that if Government has made a complete clusterf-ck out of something, the solution is to give the Government more money and power. [The left never talks about the truly massive tax increases that would be necessary for “Single Payer.”]

At this rate, the left will soon have to admit that Obama is a Marxist and the “birth certificate” is a fake.

The right also used to assert that the left was deliberately undermining the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for domestic political purposes. Now, Robert Gates has book out that reveals that Obama and Hillary admitted that opposition was purely political and the Democrats were more than happy to sacrifice the lives of American soldiers to attack George W. Bush and gain political power.

“Hillary told the president that her opposition to the [2007] surge in Iraq had been political because she was facing him in the Iowa primary. . . . The president conceded vaguely that opposition to the Iraq surge had been political. To hear the two of them making these admissions, and in front of me, was as surprising as it was dismaying.”

[Gee, Bob, thanks for waiting until after the 2012 elections to tell us this. What a great “patriot” you are.]

From “I did not have sex with that woman,” to “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan,” to “the video, which was posted on YouTube, inspired spontaneous street protests that got out of hand,” the left sits atop a throne of lies.

I now hold Clinton and Obama in the same regard as Jane Fonda and as a veteran I will never forgive them for wasting the lives an honor of my military brothers and sisters.

I’m a firm believer in using ‘the sharp pointy stick’ aboard in the form of brief, decisive incursions when US interests are involved…early and often. But at this point in History, I’ve come to a position that it’s just a waste of invaluable lives and valuable treasure when our National Leadership is so feckless and incompetent on both sides of the Aisle.

    – 13 years in Afghanistan, and damned-little to show for it.
    – 13 years of chasing al’Qaeda around the mountains and deserts.
    – 11 years in Iraq, and little to show for it.
    – Building the Obamacare website took longer than building the atomic bomb by the Manhattan Project.
    – They can’t even balance a Budget, nor manage a national Debt that dates-back to the WW1 Liberty Bond program.

There are a few punishments in the Inferno that these two could qualify for. Corrupt politicians are immersed in a lake of boiling pitch; sowers of discord are maimed by a demon, and must walk a track until it heals and they are maimed again; traitors to country are immersed in ice up to their chins.

Me, I would have them suffer the death of every soldier who died due to their politicking for all eternity.

Sean, I like your idea: “Me, I would have them suffer the death of every soldier who died due to their politicking for all eternity.”

And Bravo! for your use of Dante. I had idly wondered which punishments would apply (thinking mostly of treachery and ice), but failed to do the reading to figure it out.

I’m a little late to the party here, but speaking of Obamacare, which the post starts out with, I’d be surprised if Dear Leader and his acolytes weren’t already planning to take it to the next level.

Low enrollment of young folks, big financial losses for the insurance companies, a death spiral of higher premiums and fewer participants? That’s as certain as a drag queen in a pride parade. But the ACA provides for subsidies to the insurers if that happens. Charles Krauthammer, whom I otherwise deeply respect, wants Congress to outlaw such a bailout, and thinks this will nail the coffin of Obamacare.

Charles is a chess player, thinking a half-dozen moves ahead, but unless I missed something, he’s missing something even bigger: Dear Leader would be thrilled to bail out the insurers by effectively nationalising them, as he did GM. Only this time, he won’t let them return to private ownership.

Result: a National Health Service with the insurers’ pre-existing bureaucracies and infrastructure that is owned and operated by the misadministration. It’s a Dem’s wet dream.

We may see this before 2017, and if the GOP doesn’t retake the presidency, even with a supposed RINO like Chris Christie, it’ll be locked in forever.

Tough times are ahead, and we’d better be willing to settle for half a loaf than lose it all.
