High School Kids Tricking as Sex Workers; the Triumph of Progressivism

January 21, 2014 by V the K

So, an 18 year old high school student was suspended from school after it became known he was making gay pr0n on the side. His mother supports his career choices because… Florida. The school says that learning was disrupted when other students learned about sidline; which happens to be true. Dan Savage and the Safe School Czar could not be reached for comment.

I am generally with the school on this one. Making pr0n is a sleazy, and often dangerous business. Having one kid doing normalizes it, and makes it more acceptable for other kids to get into that lifestyle. Not to mention encouraging irresponsible sex generally, which is why STD rates are increasing.

High school kids making professional pr0n; mainly because skeezy older gay dudes are buying it. Thank you, forty years of progressive moral decline.

Maybe if the economy were better, and the kid didn’t have to compete with 11,000,000 illegals for the few jobs that are out there…

Remind me again why the morality of the 1950’s was so abhorrent? I know the pr0n genie is, unfortunately, out of the bottle, and there’s no turning back the tide of unrestrained hedonism. But I also know, culturally, this will not end well for us.

Not sure where I fall on this one. 18 is adult. 18 is old enough to enlist on his own. It was outside of school. It was legal. Would the same thing have happened if he was on a straight site? Of if an adult female student was on a “girl-on-girl” site?

Were the students who were passing around porn who were under 18, suspended/charged with illegal possession of porn?

They should have been, what they did was clearly illegal.

Gay porn is no longer the “exploitative” business it once was, if it ever was exploitative. A lot of guys in the business do it because they flat-out want to (the gay/bi ones) or because it pays better than straight porn (the straight ones). A porn star named Jake Genesis retired from the business last year and wrote a long confessional, confirming that guys in the business want to be there, they aren’t being coerced or forced by economic hardship. It’s vanity, lust, greed, and pride that motivate a lot of gay porn actors.

Yet at the same time, guys who make gay porn a lifelong career don’t tend to last one. The sheer number of gay porn stars who have committed suicide or died of disease is staggering. The lucky ones are those who perform for a few years and then get into another field of work.

I’ve enjoyed my fair share of porn, but I don’t like that it basically serves as sex ed for a lot of young gay guys, which gives them unrealistic and often unhealthy expectations for what gay sex is like, and what qualifies as “gay sex.” The fact that the overwhelming majority of gay porn features anal sex, which is becoming a dicey proposition with AIDS reaching epidemic levels again, sounds very irresponsible to me.

Honestly I think the school would have cracked down just as hard with straight porn-the problem was porn being shared in school (article didn’t mention if the kids sharing the porn over the school computers and wi-fi system were punished but IMO they should have been).

The student is 18 and making porn is a legal choice for him but I can’t imagine as a parent being proud of my kid for creating porn-porn can certainly earn the dollars but it isn’t an industry I would want my kids to work in.

Suspended for creating it? That would be unjust if he’s of age and the pr0n’s legal where he is, and I would protest that injustice on principle, regardless of how morally skeevy I find it. Where I went to school, most final-year HS students were still only 17; only the oldest ones had reached majority.

OTOH if he passed the links to others at school, and it fell (or was given freely and knowingly) into the hands of the underaged, he’s lucky that’s all he’s getting. I suspect this is what happened and what got him nailed. If he gets off on the basis of “gay rights” or “Freedom”, then it will be a travesty.

I guess I’m the prude here. 18 and still in high school is way too young to be making pr0n, IMHO.

Although he’s 18, he should not be able to be in porn until he’s at least graduated high school.

V the K: I may be a bit more lenient towards porn than you, but I agree. 18 and out of college? Fine. 18 and in college? Not fine.

According to stories I found from Googling, the young man in question was not merely wanking solo on a paid Webcam site — which would hardly be news nowadays, as long as he was 18+ — but also appeared in bareback-anal titles.

In the past, Dan Savage has condemned bareback pr0n on the grounds that it’s dangerous for the “actors,” but has not (so far as I know) expressed concern that such pr0n tends to normalize barebacking for the viewers.

I guess you actually lived in the 1950’s as a adult. Congrats…but please leave me in 2014 where police raids, having one’s name published in the local paper for merely being in a gay bar, and the closet are things of the past. Although if one has the misfortune of being a resident of one of our benighted states where such things might still pass for morality, then I’ll donate to the local marriage equality and LGBT rights organizations to have those laws tossed out. Of course, this matter did occur in Flora-duh. Reminds me of those two wrestlers at Nebraska a few years ago. Conservatives/libertarians preach proper self-determination and free will, but happily yield to Government Authority when suitable to their narrow-mindedness. Kinda like those nasty Liberals.

Adults can do what they want but please don’t come begging for tax dollars to fund research, cures and treatments. If you are a bug chaser, you pay for your treatment.

Now, tell me how I am a cold hearted son-of-a-bitch. Typical liberal, you want the government to tell everyone that your behavior is okay and you want the government to pay for the consequences of that bad behavior.

You seem to have missed the part that a public school had an issue with this. Odds are that school administrator is a liberal. Funny that.

I guess you didn’t notice that the comments here fall on both sides of the fence. Look up his videos…. bareback gang bang. Yup, the stuff to make mom proud. That being said, he is 18. He is an adult. Having the right to do something is not the same thing as doing the right thing.

I feel as though if this kid is coming from such a f–ked up place that his mom is OK with him making bareback gangbang pr0n, the odds against him having a life that wasn’t f–ked up were pretty long to begin with.

Still doesn’t excuse the sleazy pr0n producers and consumers who made this possible.

@ V the K: I don’t watch bareback pr0n. I think it’s incredibly unsafe, and that it’s horribly irresponsible for pr0nographers to depict it. I don’t care if they post PSAs in front of their barebacking videos, people will still get the idea that barebacking is “normal,” when it should be anything but. With AIDS back on the rise, pr0n is a decoy luring a flock of ducks into the water. And yes, that reference was partly intentional…

@ rusty: Is the world spinning backwards? You actually managed to make me chuckle. Congrats! 🙂

VtheK his mom wasn’t just okay with filming porn but was also proud of him for doing it. Those are family values I can’t wrap my head around. My girls are over 18 but I can’t for a moment be proud if they opted to star in porn to make money. I couldn’t stop them but I wouldn’t discuss how proud I was of them either.

One other thing I would be interested in knowing is if the filming started for certain after he was 18. If he is 18 and in high school the porn was likely a recent thing-since most 18 year old high school students haven’t been adults that long.

So once again there isn’t a whole lot of time in a school year for legal porn-especially at this point.

    @TnnsNe1

You make the error of presuming my comments “check” Liberal. You presume the School Administrator is a liberal because for you the position equates with Democrats (though the school’s in Florida, a Red State).

I couldn’t care less about the squeamishness of others concerning bareback porn and/or sex practices, though clearly there are some here who do. If anyone’s been under a rock for the past 30 years, then he or she deserves to be infected by the various well-known STD’s. The porn companies test, though their policies may indeed fail internally. Ultimately you’re responsible for your own welfare- the performers get tested, they know what they’re doing. I did not support the Los Angeles County condom law because I prefer self-policing and suasion to governmental and societal coercion in such a matter. Of course, the usual LGBT organizations wholeheartedly approving the measure were more interested in continuing their own state and federal grants than they were concerned for the actual health of sex workers. How easily do the oppressed become the oppressors. At least in my state, kids are taught sex ed in middle/high schools, even if their parents won’t broach the subject. Which the parents should rightfully teach at home, but for most Americans discussion of sex is icky. If parents won’t discuss abstinence at home, I see no reason whatsoever why schools should teach it either- basic medical science and hygiene is enough. I leave “do the right thing” to movies by Spike Lee. The School Administrator ought to have done the same.

Still, thanks for the response. How lovely is thy dwelling place, O America…Hypocrisy, the tribute vice pays to virtue.

Does nobody remind young gays of what happened in the ’80’s? And the dangers associated with licentious barebacking? Just because there are drugs to hold off symptoms, doesn’t make it any safer. I guess they think Obamacare will pay for all those expensive drugs and they can do whatever they want.

Juan-I sometimes wonder if the drugs don’t play a huge role in how young gays view AIDS.

Back when AIDS was rampant in the gay community there wasn’t a gay man who didn’t lose several friends. There was real fear and real panic.

With the advent of the drugs-the death rate has dropped and young gay men feel invincible. Back to barebacking and a belief that the drugs will save them if they do get aids.

And the choice to go without protection is a choice-there is more than enough education out there on stds and aids and how to lower risks of catching them-choosing to go without is choosing to take the risk.

It’s a shame some people pay to see others put themselves at risk-that is exploitation.
