ManBearPig Blamed for Future Rapes

February 27, 2014 by V the K

The Schizophrenic Rape Hysteria of the left continues unabated. Did you know Global Warming causes rape?

Global Warming Will Cause 180,000 More Rapes by 2099

Whoopi Goldberg has yet to comment on whether these would be “rapes” or “rape-rapes.”

It occurs to me that if Christian bakers and florists had compared being forced to participate in gay marriage to rape, they would have been mocked mercilessly; rightfully so. But leftwing nutjobs comparing an ultrasound to rape? A-OK.

Democrats have also blamed budget cuts for rapes.

And, of course, Richard Mourduck’s outrageous statement that children that were the product of rape were still worthy of love and protection cost him a senate seat.

But Planned Parenthood, an organization that protects rapists as a matter of policy, are progressive-left heroes.

I’m not so sure about that.

Having the government repeatedly deny people their rights of free association (amongst all the other rights that our state and federal governments violate on a daily basis) is, in it’s way, very much a form of rape.

The article clearly states (starting with the second sentence):

That’s the conclusion of a controversial new study that uses historic crime and temperature data to show that hotter weather leads to more murders, more rapes, more robberies, more assaults, and more property crimes.

The study itself is from the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.

    Continuing on in the article:

The study’s results don’t mean that defendants should be able to argue that they were driven to a life of crime by the weather. “The decision to commit a crime is a matter of personal responsibility,” Ranson explained in an email. “Neither higher outdoor temperatures nor reduced police enforcement are valid excuses for individuals to commit criminal acts. Yet, from a statistical perspective, both cause crime to increase.”

While it’s always fun and easy to take a headline and spin it as hysteria from the left, I’m not entirely convinced that the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management is a bastion and hotbed of left-wing activity and propaganda (though I admit I’m not entirely familiar with their work)…..

Wait, I thought coal mining was rape?

Just like most of us thought that rape was, well, rape.
Until that fount of leftist wisdom, Whoopi Goldberg, informed us that what Roman Polanski did to a 13 year old girl back in 1977 “wasn’t ‘rape-rape'”.

    It’s all so confusing.

…it’s always (1) fun and (2) easy to take a headline and spin it as hysteria from the left

    (1) It certainly is
    (2) Sure, because you leftists make it that way (considering, in this case, that there hasn’t been any warming of the earth’s temperatures for the last 15-17 years).

The best writers in the world couldn’t make up the kinds of sh*t (both hilarious and tragic, often both at the same time) that you folks vomit up every day.

It might help if you link to the actual post from Mr. Mitchell’s blog. This way it’s clear that Mr. Mitchell (who is not a leftist) posted a blog entry which he titled “An Inside Look at Left-Wing Social Science Gun Research”.

Once again illustrating the point that where the looney left is concerned, you can’t make this sh*t up.

    Libertarian Republican has a story…

… about China not being the largest polluter, but… in fact… it is Yellowstone. Following the logic then, is GAIA a rapist?

    Got it.

    Effect is causation.

    Except it isn’t.

Maybe this “corrected” quote will help:

The study’s results don’t mean that defendants should be able to argue that they were driven to a life of crime homosexual love making. “The decision to commit a crime an act of homosexual love making is a matter of personal responsibility,” Ranson explained in an email. “Neither higher outdoor temperatures nor reduced police enforcement are valid excuses for individuals to commit criminal acts of homosexual love making. Yet, from a statistical perspective, both cause crime homosexual love making to increase.”

I never knew that was from a blog post. I’d only seen that passed around as an image with the appropriate “Liberal Logic” tag. I Googled that and it just so happened to be the Mitchel link that I used. :-/
