Koch Derangement Syndrome

Consider this:

…the New York State Nurses’ Association, the NAACP New York State Conference, and SEIU Local 1199, among others…marched on the soon-to-be-built David H. Koch Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, which was funded in part by a $100 million donation…The donation was the largest in the hospital’s history…

The Washington Free Beacon has photos.

So, it isn’t just that lefties are famously stingier than righties in giving to charity. It’s that lefties now *actively fight* righties giving to charity, thus seeking to prevent medical care (for example).

That’s insane, if not evil. Congratulations lefties; you’re at a new low.

  1. “That’s insane, if not evil.”

It is both – as are most lefties.

  2. Unions marching against the Koch bros?

That’s rich considering they buy a helluva lot of politicians than the Kochs ever come close to, not to mention zero on charity.

  4. The Koch brothers didn’t even crack the top 10 when it came to the top political donors. In fact they are way the heck down the list at number 59. The top ten donors were 1. Act Blue, 2. AFSCME (a union of federal employees), 3. NEA (teacher’s union), 4. AT&T, 5. The National Realtors Assoc., 6. International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (surprise, another union!), 7. Goldman Sachs (evil bankers donate mostly to Democrats, imagine that!), 8. United Auto Workers (gasp, another union!), 9. Carpenters and Joiners Union, and 10. SEIU (the union that represents the nurses at my hospital that have been big supporters of Obama and Obamacare!). The 6 biggest union donors in American politics gave 15 times more to mostly Democrats than The wretched Koch Bros. Evil Inc. Go figure!

  5. This is obviously just an evil, dirty trick. By being generous, the Koch brothers are obviously just trying to make people think they are generous.

  6. Do these people know that the Koch brothers are staunch anti war libertarians who donated $20 million to the ACLU to help its fight against the Patriot Act? Do they care? Oops, I forgot that the left is now pro war and pro Patriot Act since their guy is in charge.

  7. A top seat on the Progressive three-legged stool of vaingloriousness is what drives the demagogues to froth and foam and gather on its top and quibble, grumble, cavil, chastise, berate, snivel, grieve, squawk, accuse, nit pick and caterwaul.

Leg one is man-caused global warming.

Leg two is anything outside of state control.

Leg three is the Brothers Koch.

What the Progressives have yet to understand is that bitching and moaning eventually makes them into just a tired band of scolds squabbling over who is the primo shrew among them.

Who will it be? Patrick Leahy? Chuckie Schumer? Dick Durbin? Barb Boxer? Di Feinstein? Harry Reid? Nan Pelosi? Maxine Waters? Alan Grayson? Debbie Wasserman Schultz? Jan Schakowsky? Steny Hoyer? Elijah Cummings? Gerry Connolly? Keith Ellison?

  8. “Big Labor” has pledged $300-million for and to the Democrats this upcoming 2014 House and Senate-cycle…ever-penny unaccountable and totally non-transparently-raised and expended. **crickets**

Thank God, you didn’t say the word “BOSSY”, Heliotrope! I was standing next to my fainting couch when I read this, and I was so happy I didn’t have to use it!
