Harry Reid Blames Obamacare Failure on “You Dumb Hicks Who Don’t Know How to Internet.”

Oh, yeah, he went there.

According to Supreme Commissar and Leader Harry Reid, “the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t educated on how to use the Internet.”
Shame on all of you for letting President Obama down.

Democrats Tacitly Concede Their Policies Are Unpopular and Ineffective

The Democrat Party has chosen an “Emmanuel Goldstein” electoral strategy for 2014: Focus all of their hate and vitriol on two Americans who use their fortune to promote freedom and opportunity, and hope to stir up enough hate to turn out the base; even if they have to lie about it .

In making the Koch Brothers their central issue, Democrats are conceding they have nothing else to run on. Their much touted strategy of making the 2014 election about “income inequality” has fallen flat. Obamacare is an albatross despite their best efforts to spin it. Climate Change and Gun Control are losers for the Democrats. The Republicans, to the dismay of conservatives, have neutralized the “obstructionist” and Amnesty issues by playing ball with the Democrats. There’s still the old reliable “War on Women,” which still works on bitter spinster feminists, but they were going to vote Democrat anyway.

They have to run on hate. They’ve got nothing else, and hate has gotten them this far.

By the way, Michelle Malkin sees a strategy in the recent run of Democrats being charged and indicted for corruption, she thinks Obama’s hyper-politicized Department of Justice will wait until October, and then indict a bunch of Republicans (the Ted Stevens gambit) to stain the party in advance of the election. The DOJ will then point to the earlier indictments of Democrats and claim it absolves them of partisan motives. Also, going after a handful of Democrat little fish is itself intended as a prophylactic against charges that the Department has been politicized.

University Issues “Mel Gibson-Style” Apology to Women Assaulted by Feminist Professor

In a follow-up to the incident in which a University of California Feminist Professor assaulted a teenage girl who was advocating an anti-abortion position in the university’s “Free Speech Zone,” the University has issued a fauxpology.

In a long-winded 1,000-word letter that reads more like a diatribe than a mea culpa, University of California at Santa Barbara Vice Chancellor Michael Young eventually conceded that women’s studies professor Mireille Miller-Young should not have snatched a pro-life sign from 16-year-old Thrin Short, giving backhanded praise to the framers of the Constitution.

“Our Founding Fathers – all white men of privilege, some even slave owners – got it right when designing the First Amendment of the Constitution,” Young wrote in an open memo to the student body.

The price of freedom of speech, Young was enlightened enough to acknowledge, is that students, staff and faculty must tolerate “outside groups and individuals coming here to promote an ideology, to promulgate particular beliefs (at times extreme beliefs), or simply to create discord that furthers a certain personal agenda.””Some passionately believe in their causes, while others peddle hate and intolerance with less-than-noble aims,” Young added, mentioning “evangelical types.”

Translation: “We’re sorry we violated the free speech rights of you racist, bigoted, stupid, invisible-magical-sky-god-worshipping hatemongers; rights that were granted to you by dirty, rotten white slaveowners.”

It is reminiscent of the apology Mel Gibson gave after making anti-semitic comments.

The Left Turns its Race-Hysteria on One of its Own

Stephen Colbert has been accused of racism by humorless leftists who 1. Didn’t get the joke and 2. Are perfectly fine when this sort of humor is directed at conservatives (which, technically, it was but in their deranged race-hysteria, the left can’t figure that out).

“I am willing to show #Asian community I care by introducing the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever,” “The Colbert Report” Twitter wrote Thursday.

The joke was taken from a bit on Wednesday night’s “The Colbert Report,” parodying Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and his launch of the Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation in light of controversy over the team name. Taken out of context, however, many Twitter users saw the joke as racist, and launched a #CancelColbert campaign that quickly became a trending topic.

Believe it or not, there was a time when entertainment wasn’t subject to the outrage of puritanical leftist race-fascists.

Oh, and also, Kobe Bryant is also being targeted for a boycott by African-American activists, because he committed the unpardonable (for an African-American) sin of thinking for himself:

When McGrath asked Bryant’s opinion on the Miami Heat’s show of solidarity with Trayvon Martin in the now iconic “hoodie” photo, the LA Lakers star stated:

“I won’t react to something just because I’m supposed to, because I’m an African-American,” Bryant said. “That argument doesn’t make any sense to me. So we want to advance as a society and a culture, but, say, if something happens to an African-American we immediately come to his defense? Yet you want to talk about how far we’ve progressed as a society? Well, we’ve progressed as a society, then don’t jump to somebody’s defense just because they’re African-American. You sit and you listen to the facts just like you would in any other situation, right? So I won’t assert myself.”

Oh, and I almost forgot about this: An editor of Ebony magazine beclowned herself by calling Juan Williams’s son a “white dude,” and then continued to beclown herself in offering the “I’m sorry I mistook you for a white person” defense.
