Fallon and Palin together

April 3, 2014 by Jeff (ILoveCapitalism)

No, it isn’t Tina Fey:

As Ed at Hot Air says, “Maybe Jimmy Fallon really does want to follow Jay Leno’s tradition of full-political-spectrum comedy.”

From what I’ve read/heard, Fallon and Palin are good friends. I don’t know Fallon’s politics but he appears to at least have a good sense of fair play, lacks leftist derangement that would absolutely prevent any appearance of Palin resulting in a positive portrayal (i.e. Palin appearing as her charming self), or at the very least can read public opinion as well as anyone and chooses to riff on Obama’s self-image. I’ve never cared much for Fallon’s routine/style but his mental health earns him my respect. I hope we can see more of this providing Fallon’s employment isn’t at risk.

And Palin looks fantastic; the camera loves her and she’s such a natural it’s astonishing.

That awkward liberal moment when: 1) He realizes that he ridiculed Palin as an ignorant hick when she predicted the Ukraine crisis 6 years and go, and 2) He realizes that Palin is getting better treatment from a late-night comedy show than the president.

The far right isn’t exactly thrilled either.

What I noticed is, frankly, how hot Palin is. Not that I care especially, but there’s a bit where she’s sort of half-bending over, and it’s impossible not to see that she is a trim, attractive woman. No wonder the feminazis are jelly.

And as for Fallon, his whole Bromance shtick with Justin Timberlake is adorable!

@V the K: I was at FreeRepublic earlier. Some are unhappy that Palin lowered herself or some such nonsense.

I agree. Palin is looking hot. She has obviously lost some weight. But I thought the sketch flopped. It wasn’t nearly as funny as the laugh track tried to make it look. There are a lot of things they could have done with this but failed.

I think it went off well. Gov. Palin has so much class.

Love her. I think she is also one of the strongest women I have ever seen. What a wonderful POTUS she would make.

She should have given Putin Grey Goose vodka….LOL

What I noticed is, frankly, how hot Palin is.

She looks good in the video, but the camera adds 10 lbs, as they say. On closer inspection, you can see how much slimmer in the waist she was then when she first received national attention–where, at that point, she was, IMO, at a perfect weight: slender, healthy, vibrant. Regardless of how one feels about her politically, she looked pretty amazing when we first “met” her.

Other recent pictures of her suggest she should gain five to ten pounds–closer to the weight she was at in 2008 before the heightened media scrutiny. Granted, she had just had a baby, but, she seemed to have plateaued at that point, as she hovered around that weight for a while. A few years ago, however, she dropped down noticeably enough.

Women in the spotlight are often criticized for their physical appearance, and the stress of delivering “the right appearance” can cause body dysmorphia. I hope Palin puts some weight back on for the sake of her health.

I’m not surprised by this video. Obama’s approval rating is down, and Palin hasn’t been receiving much press lately to the point where she could actually “rebuild” her brand and shed a lot of that negative stigma the intense exposure projected on her. Jimmy Fallon has always been a soft-baller politically, so it was a good fit.

My question is: How does The Right explain “the liberal media” allowing this happen? Oh, I think I just answered my own question.

But I thought the sketch flopped.

I will agree. I love that Palin was game to do this, but it was poorly directed. You could tell she had a lot of energy and willingness. She just needed a better outside objective voice to steer her in the best direction.

    Note also Fallon’s TRUCK! …Ford F-250 King Ranch Edition 4X4 long-bed crew-cab with leather interior and ALL the options. Not-exactly a liberal tree-hugger’s Prius-C.

Welcome to the Dark Side, Jimmy…

I getting to like this guy more and more. I hated to see Leno go. He is only one year older than myself and I have always liked his humor and his hobby of collecting and restoring cars. In fact my dream job now that I am in retirement is to work with him restoring old cars……….or working with Chip Foose.
