Because There Is Nothing I Feel Like Long Form Commenting on This Morning

April 7, 2014 by V the K

Nothing left to say about Mozilla, except I’m trying out Pale Moon and Torch in preparation for uninstalling Fascistfox. So far so good.

Hillary created a fake Twitter account so she could pretend to have “faith and values” supporters on her side. But we all pretty much already knew that her support is all low-info voters, greedy cronies, and astroturf.

This is kinda funny; the Global Warming Cult in the UK is demanding that the new High-Speed Rail train not be quite so … um, high-speed. Because… ManBearPig. Meh, damn thing was a boondoggle anyway.

The Democrats have found a congressional candidate even nastier and crazier than Alan Grayson. The Democrat base, naturally, is in love with the guy.

Anyway, here’s this. I am sure it will offend the progressive left being, you know, funny.

The Supreme Court refused to hear the appeal of the New Mexico photographer who refused to work for a same-sex couple. The NM Supreme Court had ruled that she had violated a state anti-discrimination law. The photographer had argued that she has the right to photograph what she wants to, and to not photograph what she doesn’t want to.

So basically, a business owner has to take a customer, no matter what. Cue droves of spiteful queers requesting that Christians cater their marriages and commitment ceremonies. Despicable. Way to validate the stereotype of gays as spiteful and vindictive, guys.

Please do keep us posted, I’ve been pretty heavily invested into Mozilla products over this years, giving this one up won’t be easy, though I’ll consider it if the right browser comes along.

Meanwhile, no such regret deleting my OkCupid account. But as a “middle-aged, white, overweight, college-degreed, medical professional who identifies primarily Libertarian” who happens to also be single, I do feel I should have at least one dog in the race. Can anyone here say anything one way or the other about eHarmony? I passed over them a long time ago because they did not support same-sex matchmaking. I also declined to sign up when they later reversed that policy as a lawsuit settlement, on the principle that I didn’t wish to patronize a vendor who was only willing to service me by court order.

That was several years ago. Does anyone know how they’ve behaved since? Have they atoned or do they still only service “Our kind” because they are legally obligated? A matchmaking service, ultimately, is only as good as its database.

@ Sathar: I followed the eHarmony thing a little, and from what I’ve heard, a big reason they did not do same-sex matchmaking is because they did not have the kind of research on same-sex couples as they did on opposite-sex couples. I think they are working to compile research on what makes same-sex couples last (which would be a godsend), but that was a couple of years ago.

I use Chrome, which I believe part of Mozilla. I don’t know if I will change or not, but I will be writing the company, complaining about what they have done. If that would only help. I guess I should inform them that I am a member of the great “conservative” gay mafia.

    You’re in the clear.
    Chrome is Google.
