Importing the FSA

A study recently found that the reason immigrants favor Democrats 2 to 1 over Republicans is because immigrants want what the Democrats promise: Free [Stuff] from the Government. The more immigrants that get imported, the larger the Free [Stuff] Army (FSA) grows, even in Texas.

So, the Republican Party is doomed… and pro-Amnesty, pro-Mass Immigration types like Jeb Bush, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and John McCain… are eager to facilitate the demographic Kervorkianing of the GOP.

One problem though; the economy is way, way past its freeloader carrying capacity. Our actual private economy is in decline; a decline hidden only by massive borrowing and spending by Government at all levels. (Government spending is actually a component of the Gross Domestic Product; which is kind of like if I counted the money I spent every year as part of my annual income). A declining economy and an expanding Government are mutually unsustainable. The USA today is in very much the position of the USSR in the 1980s; except instead of a bloated military complex, we have a bloated entitlement complex.

The appetite for Free [Stuff] from the Government is infinite; but economic resources are limited. The new Democrat majority can vote for everything their greedy little hearts desire; but at some point, there’s no money to pay for it. We are already beyond that point.

  1. “A study recently found that the reason immigrants favor Democrats 2 to 1 over Republicans is because immigrants want… Free [Stuff] from the Government. “

And all you had to do to arrive at that conclusion was magically turn the survey finding’s actual language of immigrants’ “policy preferences when it comes to the size and scope of government… are more closely aligned with progressives than with conservatives” into “immigrants want Free [Stuff] from the Government.”

Size equals Free Stuff! Scope equals Free Stuff! Presto chango!

  3. Is there a reason other than getting free shit that people like Big Government? Granted, some people are control freaks who love the idea of using the Government to control other people’s behavior; but for the most part, it’s free shit.

  4. Latino immigrants come from countries where the most people get from the government is a boot in the face or a bullet in the skull. So the idea of a government that gives people money is pretty cool to them. And naturally, once they have the ability to participate in the political system, they vote for the people who promise them free stuff. They don’t particularly care about the country as a whole: Latinos are very clannish and see welfare more as a nice bonus. When the well runs dry, they will be quite comfortable falling back on their families and communities for support.

In a post-collapse society, any group that has a tribal mentality right out of the gate will have a steep advantage; this includes Latinos and Blacks, with Asians having an insular form of clan mentality. Suburban and urban White Americans tend to live away from their families, and their viewpoint is too individualistic to allow for the creation of a close-knit community with their neighbors, so they would be fragmented and have a lot of ground to cover to get the sort of group cohesion that Latinos and Blacks have.

Rural White Americans tend to have both strong family and community ties. Xenophobia and cultural rigidity are common enough to become stereotypes, but this ensures that alien unknowns do not upset the dynamics of the community, and ensures that internal dissenters are either made to at least publicly conform or leave and thus eliminate the danger of internal instability.

So instead of reaching out, and try to work with those groups and redefine social programs in a conservative fashion, you insult them.

That’s not a strategy that is forward looking…

#4 – Post. Collapse Society becomes a race war based on stereotypes?
Really? This is what passes for right wing intellectualism nowadays?

If the “R” party is truly doomed I think its because of commentators like #4, not immigration.

  6. Well, if anyone can say that there will be an ‘upside’ to a collapse of the magnitude that Sean L. envisions (and I do, also), it’s that creeps like the author of the previous comment will likely disappear, since there won’t be any Big Daddy government in place to keep giving them their ‘free shit’.
I’ll consider that long overdue justice, seeing as it and its ideological cohorts will be disproportionately responsible for having caused it.

  7. So instead of reaching out, and try to work with those groups and redefine social programs in a conservative fashion, you insult them.

    Who cares?

Conservatives believe people should work and earn a living rather than mooching and looting; therefore, there is no such thing as a conservative “social program”, since all “social programs” do is encourage mooching and looting.

And as this study shows, the vast majority of immigrants want to mooch and loot others rather than be productive and contribute themselves to society. This makes them natural Obama voters, since Obama screams “you didn’t build that” and says people who don’t want to work should be allowed to mooch and loot as much as they want from people who do.

That’s not a strategy that is forward looking…

Yes, it is. A society full of moochers and looters collapses. The fact that you don’t understand that and need to justify YOUR mooching and looting is the problem.

    LOL.

The poll states clearly that the vast majority of immigrants don’t want to work or contribute to society and instead want to mooch and loot off “social programs”.

The data validates the stereotype. Why should the United States allow people who only want to mooch and loot off working Americans into the country?

  8. #6 – it sounds like you want society collapse…almost looking forward to it…

You realize if that happened, its highly unlikely that either of us would survive such a calamity.

Even if you have a stockpile of guns and food, the diseases and lack of medical supplies would likely knock your life span down to about 40 – 50.

And if 1961 is your birth year…well…it doesn’t look good for either of us.

This is why a better alternative is to find solutions that work and help reduce government dependency, but still allow for a safety net. No reason to give up on America just because the current president has a “D” behind him

    Comment by mike — April 16, 2014 @ 2:22 am - April 16, 2014

  9. Projection, “mike”.

You are a moocher and a looter who uses “social programs” instead of working.

    We are not.

Your statement is a lie. You do not accept changes to any government programs. You demonize and slur anyone who proposes cutting waste and fraud. You claim that conservatives want to poison our air and water. You claim any opposition to Obama is racist. In this thread you claim that anyone who wishes to enforce our EXISTING laws barring illegal entry and collection of welfare benefits is a racist.

You and your fellow Obama supporters have proven time and again that you will not stop lying, that you will not stop slandering conservatives, and that you will implacably and completely oppose any reductions in government spending whatsoever.

You are not a worthwhile partner for negotiation. You have nothing in mind except your own looting and mooching and accrual of power.

I am also certain I will regret this but I have to ask, you write:

“In this thread you claim that anyone who wishes to enforce our EXISTING laws barring illegal entry and collection of welfare benefits is a racist”

Where in this thread did I say this? I am exceedingly curious to see your spin on this. I’m sure you will come up with something great but my worry is you’ll just use deflection.

Deflection would be a cop out. Use your unique ability to distort truth and logic and tell me how you came to the conclusion that I said:

“In this thread you claim that anyone who wishes to enforce our EXISTING laws barring illegal entry and collection of welfare benefits is a racist”

    Please.

  12. Oh, mike. Nowhere did I say that post-collapse America will descend into a race war. I merely noted that Blacks and Latinos typically have a stronger sense of community than most Whites.

The fact that you think that I am assuming that a race war will break out says more about you than it does me. Typical: scratch a “liberal,” you get a bigot. Why don’t you run over to Stormfront, mikey? You’ll probably be in more like-minded company there.

  15. Here is how the Left actually operates and why, Mikey, ‘reaching out’ is a worthless distraction wholly perpetrated by RINOs and other Lefty sycophants.
    http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/15/us/bloomberg-gun-safety-initiative/

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/04/16/bloomberg-to-spend-50m-on-new-gun-control-effort-in-challenge-to-nra/#

“You’ve got to work at it piece by piece,” he said. “One mom and another mom. You’ve got to wear them down until they finally say, ‘Enough.'”

They have no intention of winning by IDEAS (they know they cannot)… they literally mean to tire people, make them sick of hearing something, aggravate the piss out of you until you just give in to their cockamamie whatever.
    What is more despicable?
The Right can identify this, but they have no one with big enough kahunas to call them out and bring the effort back around to IDEAS… where they can be soundly beaten by moderate, thinking voters (of various races and eco-social histories) like most of my friends.
You might also notice the clear Left/MSM conspiracy here: CNN uses ‘gun safety’, FOX uses ‘gun control’; no where in the article are items or ideas of actual gun SAFETY found, only those specifically designed to CONTROL guns.
So, to what in this lop-sided Bizarro world is it we are supposed to be ‘reaching out’?

  16. little letter mike is only capable of operating from a simplistic, partisan, binary point of view. He can’t cope with facts that are at odds with the simple feelgood narrative that gets him through life, so he simply disregards them.

    1. The Democrat Party’s sales pitch and governing philosophy is to take money away from those who don’t vote for them and spend it on those who do.

    2. Immigrants, by 2 to 1, support this governing philosophy.

    3. This governing philosophy is fiscally unsustainable.

    These are facts.

    Comment by V the K — April 16, 2014 @ 7:18 am - April 16, 2014

  17. And it’s a mistake for him to think it’s a compelling argument when he stamps his little letter feet and proclaims, “Republicans will never get elected if they insist on telling the truth!”

As if I give a damn about the electoral fortunes of the Republican Party. They are worthless.

Even the Paul Ryan budget that Democrats squealed was “Draconian” and apocalyptic increased Government spending at 3 times the rate of current economic growth.

If you can’t speak the truth about something … immigration, the welfare state, economic decline… there is simply no hope of dealing with the reality of a situation.

Those of us who can deal with the truth aren’t being political (simplistic, binary, partisan), We’re operating on a level beyond the comprehension of those who are limited to a political narrative.

  19. Perhaps I’m completely naive… V the K, NDT, Tenn, LiveWire, Colorado Patriot… I’d appreciate your insight here:

This morning when I linked to the CNN story of Bloomberg and gun ‘safety’, the article included the quote that I showed in this same post.
NOW WHEN YOU link to it, the story has nearly completely changed, they’ve deleted that quote and added more references to actual safety.
All since breakfast and making much of my commentary directly at the article and the replies I’d received… seem completely out of context and even a bit silly, given the new approach of the article. *sigh* *SMH*
