New Lipstick for Old ManBearPig

Mr. Obama’s Science Advisor, John Holdren, thinks the time has come to rebrand “Climate Change,” which was itself the rebranding of “Global Warming.”  And he has chosen to use a name worthy of a 1970’s Art Rock band: “Global Climate Disruption.”

(“Dude, I saw Global Climate Disruption when they opened for Yes and E.L.O. at Pine Knob Back in ’74!”)

They can change its name more often than the Wu Tang Clan, but, it’s still the same old ManBearPig.

See, the problem is most of the adherents of the Global Warming Cult are people who wouldn’t be affected by the types of policies Holdren and the rest of the High Priests of ManBearPig demand. The rich celebrities, the powerful politicians, and the connected cronies wouldn’t be affected by the “necessarily skyrocketing” energy costs, vanishing jobs, or the dramatically lowered standards of living they want to inflict on everybody else.

To convince the people who would be most harmed by the Aristocracy’s favored policies, they have to make the alternative sound so scarifying that they are willing to accept the deprivations in order to defeat the enemy; llike the Soviets at Stalingrad (but actually more like the kulaks in Ukraine). Hence “Global Climate Disruption.” Which is still probably not scary enough, so they will have to up the ante further: “Climate Apocalypse,” perhaps. Or for the low information voters, “Republican Climate Shutdown.” Yeah, that should scare them enough.

Feminist Films Her Own Abortion

An abortion counselor from New Jersey chose to film and post her abortion; hoping that her experience could encourage other women to have abortions.

Emily Letts, a 25-year-old abortion counselor at a clinic in New Jersey, knew that she wanted to use her own abortion story to help other woman making their own decisions about whether to end a pregnancy.

Her video, which isn’t at all graphic, focuses on the top half of her body. It shows her doing some deep breathing and humming during the short procedure, as well as talking things over with the staff in the room. “I feel good. I’m done,” she says after it’s over.

Sorta gives lie to the whole “We’re not pro-abortion, we’re pro-choice” line, doesn’t it?

Will Republicans Ask the Right Questions About Benghazi?

After almost two years (dude), Republicans are finally convening a Select Committee to investigate the events of 11 September 2012 in Benghazi; when four Americans died and the next day the President went to a party in Las Vegas.

It would be a bad idea for the Republicans to focus too much on who wrote the talking points blaming the attack on a YouTube video. Even the die-hard Obama Cultists know that the Administration blamed the YouTube video because admitting that Americans had been killed in a terrorist attack less than a month before the Elections would have looked bad for the President. (They know this is true, even if they won’t admit it. And they are not in the least troubled by it. It’s OK when their politicians lie.)

But the real stinging question – a question the administration successfully evades by playing up the talking points – is the question of why no help was sent to the Benghazi consulate when it was under attack. The terrorist attack lasted nearly eight hours, and the consulate issued repeated calls for help that went unanswered. Military assets in the region that could have helped rescue them went unused.

“Why were those people left to die?” is a much more profound question than “Which bureaucrat decided to blame the attack on a YouTube video?” We already know Obama is a liar.

From the “It’s Not Racist When *They* Do It” Files

The 5th of May is a day on which many Americans celebrate a phony holiday ginned up by the Maltese branch of a Mexican beer company.

When students at Dartmouth wanted to hold a “Phiesta” in conjunction with Cinco de Cerveza, they were called racist and shut down faster than a Condi Rice commencement speech.

Some Americans who held up American flags outside an American high school on Cinco do Cerveza were called racists by the kind of people who think Ed Schultz and Alan Grayson are great intellects.

But an MSDNC staffer wearing a sombrero and shaking maracas? Totally cool.

Another casualty in the Left’s War on Vocabulary.

The Minnesota Senate on Monday approved John Hoffman’s (D-MN) bill to change the name “Asian carp” so called because the species originates from Asia, to “invasive carp”.

While arguing his case on the Senate floor, Hoffman said that referring to the fish as “Asian” was hurtful to some people.

What about those Africanized honeybees? Minnesota better get on that; I am sure the state has no other more important business to tend to.

Lesbian Faked Hate Crime to Avoid Homework

A manipulative, lesbian sociopath targeted teachers and fellow students with hate crime allegations just to avoid homework. The woman claimed that her car and locker were vandalized, and that she received death threats after coming out of the closet in high school.

“I had a whole bunch of homework to do and I hadn’t done it. None of it. Hadn’t read anything, hadn’t done the notes. I don’t remember what the assignment was, but it was something that we had a week or two to do and I hadn’t done any of it. So I broke into the locker room and I graffitied my locker. Then the first or second period of the day, they called me out of the office, they said, ‘You can go home if you want to.’ I was like, Sweet. I went home and did my homework.” …

Each time she committed another crime, she says, “It was a little like pressure-release valve.”

“Imagine someone was like, ‘You have zero responsibility now.’”

Gee, now where could she have possibly gotten the message that accusing other people of bigotry absolved here of all responsibility for her actions?
