Mrs. Clinton Wants to Take Your Guns

Mrs. Clinton has the typical Progressive view of the 2nd Amendment… she hates it, and she thinks gun owners are all short-tempered lunatics just one annoyance away from shooting up a movie theater.

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday offered her most detailed comments on domestic policy in months, calling for tighter gun restrictions while also going to bat for Obamacare and warning that rising economic inequality is contributing to “social collapse.”

… “We have to rein in what has become [an] almost article of faith, that anybody can own a gun anywhere, anytime. And I don’t believe that,” she said.

Clinton, who argued it was possible to hold her position and still support the right to gun ownership, warned that unfettered access to guns could have dangerous consequences.

She painted a dark picture, warning that, “At the rate we’re going, we’re going to have so many people with guns everywhere, fully licensed, fully validated, in settings where [one] could be in a movie theater, and they don’t like someone chewing gum loudly or talking on their cell phone and decide they have the perfect right to defend themselves against the gum chewer or cell phone user by shooting.”

Bear in mind, when Hillary or any Progressive talks about “commonsense gun laws” — they mean that laws in place in Washington DC (Criminal prosecutions for owning fake antique bullets), New York and California (Police allowed to confiscate guns without due process), and Chuck Schumer’s National Gun Law (Federal offense for a father to loan his daughter a gun to defend herself from an abusive boyfriend) don’t go quite far enough in their opinion.

Eventually, their goal is confiscation (which is why they constantly cite Britain and Australia as examples). Every measure they propose is intended as an incremental step in that direction.

Obama Advisor Taunts Congress: “There’s Nothing You Can Do to Stop Us.”

The Obama Administration asserted today that nothing Congress can do will stop them from implementing Draconian environmental regulations to cause energy prices to “necessarily skyrocket.”

“All I would say is that those have zero percent chance of working. We’re committed to moving forward with those rules,” [Obama Advisor John Podesta] said. “We’re committed to maintaining the authority and the president’s authority to ensure that the Clean Air Act is fully implemented.”

Sadly, since the Senate under Harry Reid is a rubber-stamp for Obama policy, and the House GOP Leadership is as limp and useless as [INSERT Your Own Metaphor], Congress probably won’t do anything to stop him anyway.

You Guys Have Let Obama Down Again

A fawning Obama biographer says that the Lightbringer is disappointed with the world‘s failure to yield to His Awesomeness.

“The profile [of President Obama] that I published in the New Yorker was somebody that eerily, eerily seemed to be claiming himself–it was a sense of not giving up, but of deep frustration–that was the profile that I published in the New Yorker. Somebody frustrated and disappointed,” said Remnick, who has proven to be deeply sympathetic to this president. “And that’s what’s frustrating to me sometimes about Obama is that the world seems to disappoint him,” he continued to laughter from others on the TV set. “Republicans disappoint him, Bashar al-Assad disappoints him, Putin as well.”

And Valerie Jarrett once observed that Obama had been “bored to death his whole life,” because nothing he had ever done had seemed worthy of his talents. Boredom is not the mark of a Great Intellect, but a weak one. Highly intelligent people find in the world a neverending supply of subject matter to engage the mind. It’s the really mundane people who get “bored.”

Barney Frank says Alec Baldwin is a great guy.

When asked about that unpleasant episode by an audience member, Frank said in no uncertain terms that he had no problem with Baldwin — a position he had emphasized on the red carpet before the screening, saying that, “his outbursts to the contrary notwithstanding,” Baldwin “has been very supportive of gay rights.”

And now you understand how Don Sterling won two NAACP Lifetime Achievement Awards.
