At the urging of the Gay Left, the MFM got their knickers in a gigantic twist by taking a comment from Glenn Beck out of context.
Anyone curious about how the media works? If you take a short clip from Glenn’s show and a provocative headline, then blast it out to a bunch of blogs looking to get easy traffic – they will usually write it up without really looking for the context. That’s what happened the other day when progressive group Right Wing Watch sent out a clip of Glenn with the headline Beck: ‘Hillary Clinton Will Be Having Sex With A Woman On The White House Desk If It Becomes Popular’. Lots of websites ran with it, but they didn’t really look into any of the context. Stu decided to award media outlets like MSNBC, Wonkette, Daily Kos, and The Daily Beast for their terrible, terrible reporting skills on The Wonderful World of Stu.
Watch Viddy at the link. It’s long, but reasonably amusing.
Didn’t Clenis, himself, say she was a lesbian?
More importantly than whether she was a lesbian, is she a lesbian?
Isn’t it funny/sad that the gay left thinks labeling a straight person as a gay person is an insult?
How many times have we all gone through the checkout counter only to confronted with a tabloid saying that she is a lesbian. Frankly, I don’t care if she is or not. I don’t like the woman and don’t like her policies.
Actually, Beck is not to far from wrong. When Bill was President, and commenting on his womanizing he concluded by saying, “Hillary has had more women than I have had.” It was rumored that while she was the First Lady she was having an affair with Donna Shalala. As Henry Kravis of KKR once said, “a rumor is nothing more than an unsubstantiated fact.”
IIRC, there was even a Simpsons joke about it, to the effect of Lisa Simpson identifying herself as “America’s first heterosexual woman president.”
The Hillary/lesbian stuff has no affect on me.
I dislike her intensely without regard to whether she is straight or lesbian. Like many others, that is her business up to the point that she sticks a bony, crooked finger in my face and orders me to approve of her or her life style or her thundering thighs. At that point, she has invaded my space and she is not welcome to do so.
As a fan of the men who wrote our plan of government (notice I didn’t say white, anglo-saxon males) I can readily attest from reading their works that they were not heavy handed on infecting the documents with transitory cultural dictates. Freedom of speech and religion do not equate, in my book, to government directed social engineering.
If Glenn Beck had said that Hillary is a lesbian, that is Glenn Beck’s fight to have and not mine. I think it is good to point out how the Progressives react to every “dog whistle” that will open the stage for a piety dance and charges of homophobia, being non-inclusive and hating even a smidgeon of diversity as well as starving your grandmother and having hate in your veins. They drink vinegar as a waking ritual just to be ready for a day of sneering and snobbery.
@helio- actually I knew guys that drank apple cider vinegar because they liked it.
#banbossyHillary
If they’re the ones always hearing them, that means that THEY are the dogs.
Knew a guy who worked SS. Had this and that to say about the presidents/wives he worked under.
Nixon was okay. Didn’t like the Carters or Gores. Reagans and Bushs were considerate and well liked. Clinton a ‘good ol boy’ but Hillary a bitch on wheels…..and there was some talk of her sneaking in her ‘lady friends’ through wrong doors and setting off alarms.
I do suspect the rumors have some truth since he wasn’t the only ex-SS to say the same about her ‘taste’ in friends. The bitch on wheels has been confirmed. She hates the military and made any serviceman or SS stay out of her sight to the point of them having to hide in closets (kinda like the Carters did). They – SS and military – did not appreciate being treated like dirt and this particular guy was written up for sassing her for treating him in such a manner. His commander shook his hand and tore up the complaint.
