Karl Rove Outfoxes the Clintons

The media may tell you otherwise, but Karl Rove just scored one of the few unequivocal victories over the Clinton machine.  Some will say his question about Mrs. Clinton’s health will backfire (search), but on whom?  Mr. Rove isn’t running for office.

It was Mr. Clinton himself who awarded the laurels to the Republican strategies when the Democrat vouched for “his wife Hillary’s health“.

As Stephen Kruiser put it in a quoting the article linked above:

I’m sure that this is just an attention getting evil genius ploy on the part of Karl Rove, but I am enjoying it because he’s giving them a taste of their own medicine. Pulling something out of thin air to get the character assassination rumor mill fired up is classic Clinton. The mere fact that Bubba even had to answer a question about it is a minor victory for Rove.

My only quibble with Kruiser relates to the magnitude of the victory.  It’s not minor.  It’s significant.   The media are now talking about Hillary’s health (if only to denounce Rove).  But, still Americans are thinking about her health.  And asking questions.

There will be calls for the former Secretary of State to release her medical records.  And questions about her health will persist if when she fails to do so. (more…)

CNN Commentator: It’s OK to Punish Those Who Don’t Support Gay Marriage Because They’re Wrong

Well, when you put it that way.

Whether it’s HGTV canceling the Benham Brothers show or the NFL fining players for tweeting negative remarks regarding Michael Sam’s kiss, what we’re witnessing is not a liberal assault on freedom of speech, religious intolerance or political correctness run amok. It’s just people saying the world isn’t flat.

It’s okay to punish people who don’t think the way you do. It seems so obvious now.

Nick Adds: It’s worth noting, that this very metaphor (“world isn’t flat”) is the same paradoxical charge against scientists (paradoxical because it is a scientist’s natural instinct to question and be critical and skeptical, especially in the face of loud unanimity of thought among peers) who dare express anything other than dying fealty to the religion of ACC. Keep in mind, these are the same folks who demand reason-based policy-making. Well, if mal-reasoning is the only thing to describe knuckle-dragging discomfort with homosexuality or mouth-breathing apostasy against the agreed-to gospel of climate change, who could be against it other than Neanderthals, right? We win because we’re smart and they’re stupid. QED.

The Trials of Bradley Manning

Bradley Manning — the Wikileaker who hates his penis as much as he hates his country — may be transferred to a civilian prison so that he can complete the chemical and surgical mutilation of his body at taxpayer expense and become a woman, sort of. Or at least, become eligible to serve as a Republican member of the US House of Representatives.

They really adore this guy on the gay left. A Transgendered Traitor, he’s a gay left two-fer.

Eleanor Clift Brings Teh Dumb

Lifelong Hillary supporter Eleanor Rodham Clift (a Democrat pundit who has grown older but not wiser) has been rightly ridiculed for comparing the Benghazi Terror Attack to a housefire, and saying that Ambassador Stevens wasn’t murdered but “died of smoke inhalation.”

That’s like saying JFK died of blood loss following a head injury.

She’s not backing down from her stupidity.

The Left continues to mock Benghazi as a phony scandal, which it is, provided all of the following things are true:

  • The attack really was because of a YouTube video, so the administration didn’t lie about that.
  • The Benghazi consulate got all the additional security they requested from Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
  • The Obama Administration swung into action and did everything possible to save the victims when the attack was underway.
  • The CIA personnel on the ground in Benghazi were demonstrably not involved in any covert activity involving the transfer of weapons among terror groups.

As long as all four of those things are true, then the left is correct in calling Benghazi a phony scandal.

Update: Below the fold, Trey Gowdy takes on Democrat criticisms that Benghazi is being politicized by shoving it right back into their smug, snotty faces.

GOP Aristocracy Suffers Setback in Nebraska

University President and Bush-Era Health Bureaucrat Ben Sasse fought off an aggressive negative campaign led by Mitch McConnell operatives to win the Nebraska Republican Senate Primary last night, doubling the vote of the GOP Establishment Aristocracy Candidate (who actually seems like a decent enough fellow, truth be told.)

Not exactly hard on the eyes either

Not exactly hard on the eyes either

Now the question is, will the Establishment GOP do what they always demand of the Tea Party and demand that the candidate be supported? Or will Sasse get Cuccinellied? And how will the Republican platform of “Obamacare sucks” compete with the Democrat platform of “Koch Brothers suck?” The Nebraska seat is pretty safe for Republicans. But, let’s take a quick look at some other senate races, won’t you?
