A restaurant in North Carolina that proudly and sanctimoniously demanded that its customers disarm was robbed at gunpoint this week.
North Carolina restaurant The Pit was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday. Normally, local crime stories like this wouldn’t merit a Townhall post, but this one is different: The Pit has a “no weapons” sign displayed prominently on its door declaring the restaurant a gun-free zone, and bans patrons from carrying concealed weapons.
And just in case anyone reading this is planning an armed robbery (Obama voters read GayPatriot, too), you should know that Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle, and Jack in the Box also demand disarmed and helpless customers. So, factor that in.
My brother used to manage a sporting goods and gun-shop for many years in the ’70s through ’90s. They never had any such problems—a cocked-n-loaded double-hammer short-barreled shotgun openly sat on the counter behind each of the cash registers with a big orange sticker reading, ” Caution, Loaded“.
I am proud to state that not once have I set foot in a Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle or JITB establishment – and I will continue to do so.
Regards,
Peter H.
I can understand Buffalo Wild Wings as they are as much a bar as anything else, but I don’t understand the other places.
@ Kevin: Pious kowtowing to the elites. That’s all this is.
Schadenfreude! 😀
I love stories like this.
It restores my faith that, once in a great while, there’s some justice meted out in this world.
Ha ha! The Pit was a “gun-free zone” only for the poor saps, er, customers who actually respect rules and the law. The criminals had no qualms about breaking the law or violating a no guns rule. Surprise, surprise.
I’m sure that it’s only a matter of time before the Anti’s call this a victory, since if any of the patrons were armed, someone could have been hurt (Heaven forfend, one of the “Bandits”)!
