Tech Support Tips from the IRS

June 17, 2014 by V the K

Little known IT fact: If your hard drive crashes, every email you ever wrote on that computer will be lost forever.

That is the explanation for how the IRS lost all of Lois Lerner’s emails during the exact period the IRS, under her direction, was targeting Tea Party and other conservative groups for IRS harassment.

And the Washington Post finds this explanation totes credible.

A white Republican president who harassed progressive groups through the IRS then covered it up by destroying evidence would have been impeached by now.

Also, is it just me, but doesn’t Lerner’s email in the article come across as stilted, and maybe a wee bit blase for someone who’s just been told none of the data on her hard drive is recoverable?

Update: Wow, what are the odds. Six other Obama drones involved in the targeting of conservative groups ALSO lost all of their emails in computer crashes.

What are the odds?

Bureaucrats from the left a great at making excuses. First there was Timothy Geitner, making excusies about his tax return and that he owed back taxes, It was the fault of Turbo Tax. Now Lois has had all of her emails lost due to a two year crash of her hard drive. If I used those excuses I’d probably be doing time in Levenworth for tax evasion.

At what point will the media stop believing anything this WH says and act as their PR department?

At some point you just have to figure this is implausible and the IRS is hiding something. What this scandal needs is a deep throat but what newspaper is going to be willing to take the leap and accuse Obama the IRS and his justice department of colluding to use the IRS to silence his enemies?

The PC may crash but the email server didn’t. The backup media should have it all as well. Just another example of the contempt the WH has for the American people.

I expect to hear that the server backups have been “lost”.

A White Republican President would never have survived his first term had he conducted himself the way President Boyfriend has — assuming he even got elected.

Frankly, the IRS should be destroyed by their own rules. Would someone under audit be allowed this excuse, or would they be presumed guilty?

Lerner (and every other IRS employee not a whistleblower) needs to lose their pension and be terminated. Lerner also needs to be jailed and left to rot.

When Obama and his most corrupt Administration in American History finally succeed at destroying consent of the governed, I think they are going to be very, very sorry.

And looks like the IRS is lying about the emails not being stored-

IRS has had a contract with a server company since 2005 and their service makes email storage easy. In 2009 they used the IRS contract to advertise services on twitter.

    Somebody’s lying.
