As expressed by a friend on Facebook.
It’s not about Hobby Lobby or even religious freedom. It is far far greater in scope: The most shocking by far is how we have fallen as a society. A steady diet of promises made by scheming politicians to grab power and control, and entrenched through public education and media, has changed the entire fabric of our nation. We now fully expect that we can by force, make other people pay for our needs or desires. Almost nobody bats an eye at the notion of legal plunder. That is, using the force of law to take what belongs to one and giving it to whom it does not belong.
Or, as I have said, the Value Proposition of the modern Democrat Party, “We’ll take money away from people you don’t like and buy you stuff with it.”
And, of course, one of his lefty friends promptly commented that since he opposed the Government forcing businesses to provide contraception he must support child labor, too. Because that’s the typical quality of leftist argument these days.
Update: This effete liberal outside the Supreme Court sort of makes the point: “You only have rights to things liberals think you should have.”
