And Now, Government Cracks Down on Gays Who Hate Other Gays

So, the wedding cake fascists were feeling pretty good about themselves and they way they got the Government to force Christian bakers and photographers to participate in gay weddings. After all, once you start a business, you forfeit all your Constitutional rights, so they said. And as no less than Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer put it, if Christians don’t like operating businesses under the thumb of Government oppression, then they can just not open businesses.

But, you know, once you let that sort of idea… that the Government can force a business to labor for others against their will… you never know where that sort of thing is going to end up.

A Denver bar has been cited by the state’s Division of Civil Rights for discrimination because it refused to let a gay man dressed in drag enter. The bar is the Denver Wrangler, and despite what its name might suggest, it is not some Country Western joint. It is, in fact, a gay bar. So the state has determined that a gay bar has discriminated against a gay person

What happened last summer is that a gay man named Vito Marzano, dressed in drag from a fundraiser elsewhere, wanted to enter the Wrangler. He was denied entry. The bar claims it wasn’t because he was cross-dressing but because his image didn’t match his driver’s license. The bar had been previously cited for serving somebody underage and were now being extra cautious.

So, it was more like, they checked ID and his ID was hinky. Well, no… there was a bit more than that. According to the official state investigation, Mr. Marzano wasn’t quite the Wrangler’s usual demo.

“[T]he Respondent caters to a gay subculture known as “Bears,” which are bisexual or gay males which tend to place importance on presenting a hypermasculine image and often shun interaction with men who exhibit effeminacy. This is evident from the pictures and statements made by employees regarding the “Bear” culture of the club and several links on the Respondent’s webpage referencing “Bear” clubs … .”

That’s right… a taxpayer-paid Government employee investigated and found out about the Bear subculture and interviewed bar patrons to find out what that was.

So, Gay Fascist Left, you wanted the Government in the business of policing businesses and their clientele, and now a bear bar is being cited for twink-discrimination.

Well done.

  1. What if they’d let the twink in only to shun or mock?

  2. […] Gay Patriot writes about a recent logical conclusion of the Gay Left and their wanting to force private businesses to participate in gay wedding celebrations. With all the BIG government laws their is surely an aspect of backfire involved… I mean, the BIGGER government gets, the smaller the individual is: […]

  4. Its a matter of time before the governments start clamping down on personal profiles stating “no fats, femmes, facial hair, trannies, tattoos, piercings, blacks, whites, hispanic or asians” when seeking potential partners. You will have to have a heart with an equal sign in it similar to the house logo with the equal sign in it on apartment signs, etc

  6. Live by the PC sword, die by the PC sword. Hardly a new lesson, so I am somewhat surprised the bar in question didn’t see this coming.

  7. Oh, I’m not at ALL surprised they didn’t see it coming. Liberals NEVER think that the rules they impose on others will ever be imposed on them.

Just like the liberals who were shocked when their health premiums went UP instead of down under Obamacare.

Like the black “leaders” who can’t understand why Affirmative Action is considered racist.

Like the feminists who wanted equal opportunity to apply for jobs like Firefighter, then were shocked again when they would not change the rules about carrying a 300 pound person on your shoulders.

They NEVER think things might be a two-way street.

  8. Why would a true leftist find this upsetting? Restaurants/bars have long been viewed as public space; to support any private business and its right to, say, deny access for any reason would not only be to limit a particular type of individual but would ultimately limit government’s reach and a leftist cannot allow that for whatever reason.

  10. I’m sure a lot of souls got way more information than they bargained for, in the investigation of case for litigation. The judge will be throwing out subsequent cases in this vein, I would guess, whether this was won or not.
Unfortunately, the of enforced exclusiveness in any type of club is long gone. I remember one of the last men’s clubs, think it was called the Petroleum Club or something. A former fraternal organization. A woman wanted in, she got in, welcome or not. Right or wrongly, people are not allowed to be with their own kind, exclusively, in a setting that serves the public. This is a feminists’ crime, which has been handed down to liberal ideology & is related to a lot of things, including racial issues.
Liberals do not want exclusivity, in any setting. It threatens them.

  12. I’ve been to The Wrangler. I can’t imagine someone who wasn’t reeeeeally into masculine men being comfortable in there. And Hamburger Mary’s is just down the street, much more friendly for cross-dressing. Unless that’s where he was coming from…

  13. No wonder that Obama has been nicknamed ”the bear,” by his own secret Service.
Thing is, he’s just not all that masculine.

I am surprised feminists are not fighting to get into gay bathhouses.

  15. The Wrangler is a gay c&w bar. It’s not just a gay bar.

It’s really more of a intermediate bar—for those who may not feel comfortable in the full leather jacket (and chaps) clientele of The Eagle, or full-out yee-haw of Charlie’s and those who are over the S&M [not that kind of S&M] crowds that populate the hot dance clubs.

That someone allegedly part of the clientele would specifically label it a bear den speaks of someone who hasn’t been there a lot (beer busts and other ursine-attractive events aside).

Something about the complaint and the outcome doesn’t smell right. I think there’s more to this story (like some self-righteous DQ who holds a grudge against the management and isn’t willing to let it go).
