Ms. Curtis being a Democrat politician and a pathological narcissist (but I repeat myself) has maintained a political video blog (or, possibly, an audition tape for The Daily Show), in which she expresses her Very Important Opinions on things.
So, as a Democrat she…
- Sneers at Second Amendment Rights
- Sneers at Christianity
- Sneers at Family Values, and
- Sneers at the notion that the National Debt is a serious problem.
At least we know where she stands. She’s really no different than the rest of the Democrat Party, but unlike Democrat Senators like Cory Booker and Kay Hagan, she lacks the sense to keep those opinions more discreet.
If the Republicans had a National Media Establishment that was determined to act as its PR wing, Ms. Curtis would quickly become the face of the Democrat Party; much as the MFM made idiot Republican
Tea Party Establishment candidate Todd Akin the face of the Republican Party in 2012. Todd Akin was the centerpiece of the Democrat/Media “War on Women” narrative. Despite being completely disavowed by the Republican Party, every Republican candidate was forced to answer for Mr. Akin’s stupidity.
If the Republicans had media, or if the media were fair and balanced, every Democrat running for office would be forced to answer for Ms. Curtis’s remarks; which would be replayed endlessly across cable and network news. Pundits would write long pieces about the Democrats’ “War on Family Values/Gun Rights/Christianity/Fiscal Responsibility.” Others would lament that Ms Curtis and those like her represented an “extremist wing” that was “out of the mainstream” and insist that the Democrats disavow her and her kind.
But we all know that’s not how the game is played.
