“Many in the LGBT community are lashing out at the NFL today, claiming homophobia. It’s understandable. Gay men have been told for decades they’re not good enough to play football, they’re not welcome in the locker rooms. Some of those messages have even reverberated in 2014. While the Rams’ decision wasn’t based on homophobia, it’s hard not to afford gay men a little foot-stomping at this latest rejection.”
So, what? The Rams should have kept him on the roster to keep gay people from stomping their pedicured little feet? When did “not hurting gay people’s feelers” become the most important goal in society?
I would also be interested to know exactly has been telling gay men they’re not good enough to play football. Is there a citation for this. or is it under the rubric of ‘things leftists believe which therefore must be true?’ There have probably always been gheys playing football at the college and professional level. Michael Sam was the first one to make a big deal out of it.
