Democrat Blames Detroit’s Bankruptcy on Suburban White People

Robert Reich was the Secretary of Labor under President B.J. Clinton, a candidate for Governor of Massachusetts, an executive at Goldman Sachs (which is pretty much a Democrat bribery mill), and currently draws a salary of almost a quarter mil for teaching a single class at UC-Berkeley.  He has also figured out why Detroit went bankrupt, and it has nothing to do with fifty years of corrupt Democrat politicians enacting precisely the progressive policies Reich advocates.

Detroit is really a model for how wealthier and whiter Americans escape the costs of public goods they would otherwise share with poorer and darker Americans.

Are Detroit, its public employees, poor residents and bondholders the only ones who should sacrifice when Detroit proper can’t pay its bills? Or does the relevant sphere of responsibility include Detroit’s affluent suburbs — to which many of the city’s wealthier resident fled as the city declined, along with the banks that serve them?

In other words, people who manage their communities efficiently and promote sound economic policies should subsidize the incompetence, corruption, and anti-business policies of people who don’t.

Psst, Wanna See Some Democrats Go Nanners on TV?

Watch as a bunch of Democrats lose their [stuff] when Republican consultant Ann Navarro brings up the “War on Womenfolk.”

Hat Tip: Chicks on the Right

And, in case you missed it, during the Texas Gubernatorial debate, the Democrat (who has a wonderfully appropriate nickname I have been forbidden to use but you know what it is) candidate first responds robotically to some question from the panel, then completely melts down when the Republican lays the smackdown on her robot attack.

The Best Reason to be Skeptical of Global Warming

Someone else has noticed the curious coincidence that every proposed solution to “Global Warming/Climate Change” coincidentally advances the progressive socialist agenda.

But how do leaders of the environmental left address these opposing doomsdays? By raising taxes, increasing government, impeding capitalism and reducing national sovereignty. Coincidentally, the same policies they would promote if their supposed environmental catastrophe was utter fiction. It is little wonder that voters are suspicious.

That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you.

The Joys of Skepticism

If you’re a skeptic of the dogma of anthropogenic global warming, you should feel smart and proud, because it means you’re not one of these people.

These people are stupid and they should feel bad.

The State Demands to Know Your Innermost Thoughts and Your Intimate Details

Clemson University is demanding that students and faculty provide their sexual histories including the most salacious details. (Or they were, until Campus Reform raised an outcry.)

Clemson University is requiring students to reveal how many times they’ve had sex in the past month and with how many partners.

In screenshots obtained exclusively by Campus Reform, the South Carolina university is asking students invasive and personal questions about their drinking habits and sex life as part of what they’ve billed as an online Title IX training course.

“How many times have you had sex (including oral) in the last 3 months?” asks one question.

“With how many different people have you had sex (including oral) in the last 3 months?” asks another.

This is a result of the Campus SaVE Act of 2013, a Democrat-driven law that mandates colleges and universities to “do something” about sexual violence, and by do something, they meant collect lots and lots of personal data and, oh yeah, strip males accused of sexual assault of all Constitutional rights and protections.

Liberals used to freak out about this level of Government intrusiveness. But now, Obama is in power, and it’s all right for the state to collect very personal intimate data, for the Common Good, don’tcha know.
